end of 08/09 nba preseason
Ok today is the end of nba preseason its over and for the first time in my life i actually watched some preseason games i mostly only seen bulls,and lakers but i seen some others like wizards ,blazers,rockets and sum others most people don't bother to watch preseason because they only want to see the star player play and some times the star player doesn't play in preseason game.But was impressed from what i saw from teams like bulls,lL.A, and cleveland yesterday lb23 had 26 pts 6 assists and 5 rebounds .I am excited for opening day games lakers vs blazers ,cleveland vs boston,and bulls vs bucks i predicted that Kobe was going to be the leading scorer on opening day but lebron has a good chance to.The only really all-star player that got seriuosly injured was steve nash with a sprained ankle well Forward Amare Stoudemire (torn iris in right eye) and Leandro Barbosa, who returned to the team this week after being with his ailing mother in Sao.
Top rookies
Ok starting with the rookies these are the players who i think are gonna be good either in the future or present not in any specific order Oj mayo will be one of the best rookies this year one cause he is probaly going to get the most playing time.Another player i think is going to be good is Eric Gordon even though he might play off the bench.He is similar to Ben Gordon, not just in size and position but in how he can impact games. While he often looks to shoot he is far from knowledgeable about the term "good shot" it is his slashing talent that could earn him a future Sixth Man Award. This rookie i think will be better in the future Derrick Rose Rose might not see huge minutes but from what i seen from preseason games is he has shown improvement at handling ball screens and his body control on at-the-rim finishes is already at a high level.One thing i noticed from him in preseason ias that he looks to score more than I expected, but should be very effective in that role.RUDY FERNANDEZ!his second NBA preseason game, Fernandez tallied 15 points, five rebounds, seven assists, six steals and six turnovers. Assuming he comes off the bench this season, that's the definition of an energy guy. And with Martell Webster out for an extended period of time, Fernandez has the chance to play a lot more, and maybe even start. Now if i were to talk about all the rookies I think are going to be good I wouldnt have time for the sophmores.But here is a list of some rookies who are going to be good beasly,oden,rusell westbrook,marc gasol.
Top Sophmores
Kevin Durant had aboce average rookie numbers and this year i expect him to do even better i think his shot selection has gotten better but whats gonna make him a future all-star is him getting pts in the paint.Mike Conley new he had to improve his jumper but Conley's overall effectiveness should be greatly enhanced this season as a full-time starter. He teams with O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay to form an incredibly active perimeter trio.Rodney Stuckey played so good in the playoffs and summer leaugue at he should see major minutes on a team that needs young legs.Al Horford is one of my faves on because he can average a double double for his career average.Well there is always people i don't talk about but i sould but these are some players who are going o be good to Luis Scola,Thaddeus Young,Jeff Green,and Carl Laundry.
Well probaly the next time i will make a blog entry is in aweek or so or if something big happens in the nba like a star player get traded but fo now peace!
