so just so those people who have questions about my main OC rat know...
1. Rat is much like link..he is a legacy and appears in times of great peril. he is usually loud and creative...but this lways doesnt apply
2. rat also loves animals and got his name from the ability to speak to rodents and much like rodentai he can escape almost anything
3. the curs...the curse is also known as the mark and means that any of the arbitary rat's of that time are cursed to die many painful deaths.
thus it is rare for rat t find love

so in short rat is a title/rank much like The Arbiter (halo) or Link (legend of zelda series) when named Rattillo (shortened rat) the legacy goes within the child...good or bad...
