Shinsei - Reeve's precious blade. He can infuse it with any of the Yakedo clan's three unique Katon branches. Doing so keeps the blade sharp at all times and allows it to be used as a medium for any of Reeve's original Yakedo clan jutsu. It is kept in a sheath that is hidden within Reeve's right sleeve, along with his Senbon, disabling Reeve's ability to bend his right arm while it is sheathed. Whenever Reeve feels the need to use Shinsei he will simply flick his right arm very slightly, yet hard, allowing the blade to slip out into his right hand.
Miscellaneous: Reeve will usually fight using only his sword and Taijutsu until he feels it absolutely necessary to utilize his Ninjutsu. He is also known to start off most battles with a strong Genjutsu, leaving his opponent disoriented and easier to take out. He doesn't like to waste energy in combat, so he only uses just enough force and chakra with every move he makes.

Biography: Reeve was born in Konoha's main hospital. His father, being a master of the Yakedo clan's techniques, and his mother, a former Iwagakure shinobi, meant he was born with Katon and Doton chakra elements. His father trained him from the day he turned six, teaching him the Shirokaton, Aoikaton, and Gurikaton techniques of the Yakedo clan. His mother taught him the Doton (Earth Release) technique when he turned eight and also taught him how to wield a sword. When he turned ten he was enrolled in the ninja academy, where he passed with honors. It was also around this time that he noticed his mother and father begin to fight and argue a lot, however he thought nothing of it.
As a Genin he was always the one on the front lines on missions, dealing high amounts of damage using Shiro, Aoi, and Gurikaton. He was also the most skilled swordsman on his team (even surpassing his Jonin) and usually ended up finding some reason to show it, whether it be taking out an enemy or cutting down a tree that a cat had gotten stuck in. When his Jonin signed his team up to participate in the Chunin Exams, he was only eleven. He still accepted and passed the first two rounds without any trouble. When it came to the final round however, he nearly lost. He was paired against a rival shinobi from another team, a boy that was a year older than him and just as good with swords. They both fought fiercely, neither of them gaining or losing ground. Then, just as they were both about to faint from exhaustion, Reeve combined his Gurikaton technique with the sword given to him by his mother; Shinsei. When their blades clashed again, both boys were sent careening backwards from the explosion. Reeve was the only one to stand ... and the only one of the two to survive the blast. Needless to say, he was promoted to Chunin, but always carried the burden.
After serving five years as a Chunin, the now sixteen year old Reeve was entered in the Jonin exams. Through this he would hopefully be promoted to Jonin and would be one step closer to achieving his goals. He did indeed win the final match, after sealing his opponent within a Genjutsu and attacking their blind spot. When he approached the Hokage to receive the official promotion however, the Hokage told him there was a more important job for Reeve to attend to. Reeve was appointed as the guard of Konoha's main gate and street and was applauded by all the spectators, all except his parents who were far too busy arguing to come.
A mere two months later, Reeve was patrolling the streets when he got a message from the Hokage's personal guard. Apparently one of the villages most trusted Jonin had attacked and killed his wife in a fit of rage. This man was now listed as a criminal and was ordered to be executed on the spot. No sooner did the words leave the guard's mouth than that very criminal showed his face. There, running down the streets, draped by a black robe and wielding a massive sword, was Reeve's father. Reeve was shocked, but approached the criminal, nonetheless.
"Congratulations, Reeve." his father said as he attempted to walk by, expecting that his son would not attempt stop him, "You did well." he added. However, he was immediately stopped by the blunt end of Shinsei across his throat. Reeve, his head down and his eyes closed, strewn with tears, his face full of sadness and confusion, spoke. "Shinobi law number one ..." he began, the tears falling from his face, "Everything you do is for your village." he said. With that said he turned Shinsei around, pushing the razor sharp edge against his father's throat. His father, in no way able to bring himself to kill his own son, simply smiled as Shinsei ran itself along his neck, barley, but surely, cutting his throat. At this point, Reeve was crying endlessly, lifting his father's corpse over his shoulder. On the day of his parents' burial, he shed no tears, knowing very well that what he did was for the sake of the village. He vowed on that day that no matter what happened, his allegiance would remain solely to Konoha and it's safety, until the day he dies. He never fails to stick to that vow.
