"THERE!" Jessika said fixing Amanda's hair. she took a step back making sure Amanda looked good. "alright! now your ready for breakfast!" she smiled "now fallow me" she said leading Amanda to the banquet hall. by now Jessika was enthusiastic about having Amanda as company. lord Virgil said there were 3other guests joining us, but i have yet to see the other two. poor Nero! . . . she continued to think. she became slightly melancholy at the thought of such a sweet young man being locked in the boiler room. after all she had snuck down to see him a few times, just to bring him extra food and water.
"my lord, Amanda is ready!" her voice chimed, with a smile. Virgil stood up from his seat, with a smile.
he had a katana on his side, wore a long blue coat, and brown boots. His snow white hair was brushed back. "welcome! so glad you decided to join us. after all we don't get many visitors, as im sure Jessika has already told you" he said slightly laughing. Jessika laughed also "here! please sit down" he said pulling the chair out for Amanda to sit down. "would you like some tea?" Jessika asked enthusiastically. "oh thank you" Amanda replied as Jessika began to fill her cup with piping hot tea.
"thank you Jessika" Virgil replied
"would you mind brining some food to our other "guests"? im sure they are hungry" he continued.
"oh not at all, ill bring them food right after i bring out the scones. their almost done" she said with a warm smile.
with that she was off to the kitchen. with bounce in her step she walked around the kitchen, which was done up in much the same way the bathroom was, except with stainless steel appliances. gathering ingredients for the bread and mixing them into a big bowl, the the stainless steel oven binged. "yay! scones are done!" she said racing to the oven and placing the mitts over her hands. she smelt the sweet sugar of the scones, as she opened the oven. a hot puff of air rushed out of the oven and into her face
"oh yeah their done alright!" she giggle pulling the tray out of the oven. with a spatula she carefully picked the scones up and placed them on a silver tray. "mmmm. . . they smell great!" she said. picking the tray up and carrying it out to Amanda and Virgil. she pushed the swinging kitchen door open with her butt. "scones are done!" she said cheerfully placing the tray on the table. "thank you" Virgil and Amanda replied, laughing at the fact they said it at the same time, then cheerfully continued their conversation.
Jessika wasn't paying much attention to anything else, she just wanted to put the next few loaves of bread in the oven and take the other down to Nero. wow, im starting to act like a giddy high school girl. Jessika thought, gathering cups of water and a few loaves of bread onto a tray. at last Jessika returned to Virgil carrying the tray for the "guests"
"lord, im about to give our guests their food. are they in different rooms?" Jessika ask, no wanting to tip Amanda off. "no, they are in the same room with our first guest" he replied smoothly. "ok well ill be right back, don't be afrade to ring for me, if you need anything" she said, and with that Jessika was off to the boiler room. the house was so huge, so much darker here than in the other side of the house. i wander what he plans to do with the prisoners. . . Jessika started thinking. wander why Amanda isnt with the others. she thought.
she continued walking down the steps to the basement. when she finally got there it was so dark, she saw the shadows start to move, "its just me, lord Virgil told me to bring them more food and water." Jessika called out. the shadows disappeared leaving the basement looking brighter than before. at least i can see everything. Jessika thought again. with one hand she turned the latch and pushed the door open.
closing the door quietly behind her she took a few steps then stopped.
"YOU a*****e!!!!" a woman shouted
then a loud smack
"Damn woman! ur the one that was kissing me!!" a man said sarcastically
there was a laugh
"well now i know you like it kinky" he said again
there was some more words but they were incoherent.
"hello?" there was no answer, only more senseless chatter.
she could hear foots steps, then . . .
"considering my brother just took my guns, sword, and even my god damned coat! were defenseless. ever bit helps right?"
brother? Jessika thought, vigils his brother?
"HELLO?" she called out, everything stopped. she heard the quick shuffle of boots and clothing. next thing she knew she was laying on top of someone, and the tray, along with its contents, were falling to the floor. "JESSIKA!!!! you're ok!!!" a mans voice said. Jessika was too stunned to think, to even know who this was.
she started laughing, "of course im ok, what else would i be?" she replied. her brain finally made the connection, Nero. Nero laughed back, "I don't know, crazy maybe?" he said wrapping his arms around her. "maybe im both?" she joked, "well it doesn't matter, your ok thats all i care about." he said.
"i heard some of them shadow things talking about you, they are starting to suspect you are up to something. i started thinking the worse, that they ratted you out to Virgil." Nero finished looking up at her. this shocked Jessika, and she pushed herself up into a sitting position on his chest. "what!?? oh no! what am going to do?" she asked
"nothing, just act normal" another mans voice said. she turned around to get a look, the mans hair was white and he wore no shirt only his pants and boots. a woman hid behind him her hair as black as the shadows. scared Jessika spoke "who are you?" she would have spoke a little more kindly, but fear gripped her.
"what!?! you mean my dear brother Virgil never told you about me? not even my name!?!" the man said skeptically.
"im sorry he hasn't told ANYONE that he had a brother." she replied.
"hahaha!!! don't let him bother you Jessika, thats just Dante." Nero replied laughing.
"you act as if i ain't not big deal!" Dante said bitterly, crossing his arms.
the girl behind him smiled, standing up straight, she seemed more at ease. Jessika saw her clothes, "your friends with amanda!" she shouted. "hu?!" the girl said. her face was full of confusion. "amanda? where is she!? how do you know her?" she then asked suddenly worried for amanda. "she is with Virgil, their having breakfast right now. why are you all down here anyway?" Jessika asked
"not sure why he took the hottie, but he obviously has good taste in women" Dante cut in pointing to the girl with black hair.
