Damn all demons who are walking this land. They have captured me. Winter, I don't know where she is, I hope she's okay.
When the sun came up, I went over to the springs, the water was healing. It was soothing after all my aches and pains from battle. My head hung back, my clothes were going to be soaked, but they needed some cleansing too. My scythe never left my grip, I clicked it down to a small pole with it's blade and stashed it under what became my all around clothes, a massive cloak that was a little big for me but it helped me stash the scythe and journal away only too easily.
My head fell back and my eyes shut.
Next thing I know, besides the fact I wasn't hurting too badly, is that I'm being carried away by the demons in a cell to a holding area... and as we passed the enemy lines, I can only assume this is the main camp for one of the demon sides.
They brought me to a monsterous dragon, gold irises with black behind them, but, of course, this is not the only thing that catches your attention. It's teeth were at most a foot long, the flames it could belch had to be a thousand degrees at twenty-five feet. It's body was black, it's tongue and tail were razored. This was a monster of war, a war machine, but when it sighted me, I could see fear in its' eyes for a mere second before it reset its' mask.
"So," this monster began to thunder in my tongue, "The great Skold has finally been caught. The 'demon of chaos' is finally before my eyes. I imagined you a little more menacing for being called an angel of death. I could roast you alive right now."
"Yes, you could. But I thought dragons weren't just worms with scales. If you truly were a great beast, you'd fight me without this cage." I returned, my knowledge of the creature extensive enough for me to guess his responses, "No, you'd haul me over to an arena, make me beg for mercy as my strength would prove too meager for your impressive might. Perhaps even gain a soldier on your side should you find a way to break me. After all, I have been the main element of a victory in all the most recent wars. Perhaps a dragon wouldn't mind hoarding that luck and using it to his advantage."
He looked at me curiously, "You don't-"
"With all due respect... dragon.. I don't believe I ordered you, I just gave you some food for thought for something to do with your prisoner other than turning him into a barbeque."
"Take him away, while I contemplate what to do with him." The monster thundered.
Well, needless to say I'm stuck in a cell now. I've bought myself some time to think of a way oughtta here if things don't go as planned. Winter is either worried sick, or trying to derail anything in her path that stands between her and me. She knows my scent so much she'll likely be able to follow the trail I've left behind. Knowing her, anger has given her body enough juice to heal up even while she's fighting.
Well, I need to meditate the precise moment escape would be best.
