Bits and pieces of my mind
Poem #2
Titanic:
A Tragic Destiny

Titanic, a ship they thought would never sink
They underestimated God in a blink

Water so cold that was twenty eight degrees
When people jumped in, they would instantly freeze

Lifeboats only enough for upper class
Musicians are still playing, even with brass

Falling, falling, there it breaks,
The ship is down like a big earthquake

With over 1,500 people left on the boat
They are together trying to stay afloat

Icy, cold, dreary, night
Lots of people are in a fright

Loud sounds and screams in the air
Dead people are floating everywhere

The night is long, seems like it would never end,
Rescue boats are on their way, it’s farther than around the bend

It’s a bitter, sweet, ride to shore,
When their loved ones, they may not see anymore

The Titanic is a lesson to be learned,
Ships are safe now, so don’t be concerned
