My old best friend Thuong
(she corrected me on spelling her name),
who is so adorable I just wanna
squeeze the life out of, called me today
to tell me that her pet dog Benji
had gotten hit by a car on Christmas Eve,
taken immediately to the vet,
denied life-saving surgery (by the vet),
and died on Christmas day.

I just noticed that neither Doom nor Shade comment or probably even look at my journals anymore.
