What's going on with Snap...
(since alot of people want to know why I would sell the store and close up so suddenly)
We got the news at work that the military will be cutting over half of the officers in my career field/commissioning year because they have too many (or so they claim). This means that in less than a year, I may be unemployed and searching for a job. With that in mind, I need to work to finish my Master's Degree (since it's on the government dime and I may not have the time or money if I get kicked out). So I called my college and managed to get late enrolled in another class--and I will have 2 classes per semester for the next 2 semesters--then finish with the Capstone course (the last class with a massive paper).
Needless to say, I'm going to be very busy.
To top that off, I decided to get the PRK done. It's an eye surgery where they fix the shape of the eye--which corrects one's vision. Of course, this will mean that I won't be online much afterwards while I'm healing (after all, they are burning off 2 layers off my eye and tinkering with them). I'll have to wear my glasses for 30 days before they can examine me and let me know if I'm eligible for the surgery or not. (Wheeeeeee--I hate my glasses!)
With all of this going on, all I can really do is hunker down, do all I can and hope that the military keeps me. If not, then I'll be a civilian (free of all the bullcrap!), but I'll be looking for a job--hopefully with degree in hand. Needless to say, it was good when Vilandil offered to buy the store--since it took up alot of my time (I sometimes spent up to 5 or 6 hours on Saturdays, and then an hour or two every time I tried to wittle down the trade list).
It's all good tho--I'm not too worried. ^_^ Things will work out in the end somehow. 3nodding
