different questions, same people
I went to the Smithsonian today. The exhibit was on Pompeii. ((hey, that rhymes!)) What I learned there had nothing to do with Roman culture, though. I learned instead that while every person in the room may be interested in one thing, each individual had their own way of approaching it. For example. There was a room which was made to be an exact replica of one of the tricliniums ((roman dining room)). It contained samples of the original paint and some of the furniture. When I looked at it, I wondered who's dining room it had been. I wanted to know what stories took place there. Another person wanted to know what the paintings on the wall represented. Yet another commented on how amazing it was that the original paint had lasted so long. A boy wanted to know how they sat to eat. A man asked where the materials came from....
