Funny at times and the story line is kinda sad.
Basically, Rozen Maiden is about these living 7 dolls that this Doll Maker named Rozen((a.k.a Father-from which the dolls call him)). Rozen makes those dolls to make the perfect doll, Alice, but none of the dolls fit the description of "Alice".
So those dolls are randomley delivered to different kinds of people, to make a contract with the humans, and become the dolls "Medium".
The 7 dolls are like sisters and they fight each other to gain each others "Roza Mystica" which gives them life.
The dolls and the Humans are binded by a ring. The ring glows red and grows hot when the doll is fighting.
The reason as to why the dolls make a contract with the humans is to use their energy to gain extra power.
1st Rozen Maiden Doll: Suigintou
Ability: Uses her wings. Can also summon a sword using her wings

Ability: Uses the sound of a Violen to hurt her enemies
