Well, this year is over. I think this year definetly could have gone better in alot of ways but you know what? It's ok, because we make mistakes in order to learn from them. Here are a few I've learned and would like to share.
1. Honesty Truly is the best solution. (No kidding, you know how much trouble I could have saved my a** if I'd just told the truth?)
2. The more lies you tell, the deeper s**t you'll be in. (Everything was working nicely at first, but it all came back to bite me in the a** at the end)
3. Don't have sex in your parents house. It's very disrespectful! (How about that's the main lesson I learned? I'll never do that again cus getting cought sucks)
4. If your sexually active, get contraceptive immediately! (No babies here but...I came close. Enough said.)
5. College is npt the place for slacking off so get off your a** and work, dammit! (I got an F in my mth class this semester. No vet school will take me if I keep that up!)
6. Your family truly does love you and has better things to do than to sit around all day and plot ways of keeping you and your boyfriend apart. (I actually use to think that but lets not get into that.)
7. Do not make promisses you are not sure you can keep. (5 times I broke the same important promise. Leasson learned. If I say no the first time, I'm not gonna say yes just because I'm being badgered! Never again!)
8. Be more carefull when crossing the street. (If not for my friends and Justin I would have been roadkill several times this year. >.> wink
9. Have faith in both your significant other AND your family. (They all want whats best for you and there is no need to pick and choose. Listen to them both and take their words to heart, because in the end, the decision is going to be what you chose it to be, not what someone else said. They just happen to agree with you. ;3 )
10. Except what is what and move on. (I know that I can honestly say that I'm done with the past. This is a fresh start and a new year.)
My Resolution: To put the past behind me and try not to make the same mistakes as before. When someone brings up old things, they may think it's for the better but all they are doing is picking the scabs off scars and letting them bleed. The best thing to do is to forgive, forget and walk. I want to be able to keep a cheerful outlook on things and become better than I was last year. I have more resolutions but I'm too tired to list them all.
I wish everyone a happy New Year though.
