A Journey Through Time
As days pass by and moments slow,
I think of where my life will go,
I think of where my life has been,
and go on a journey through time.
The happy moments in young years,
the scary days that still leave fears,
and even seconds where I cry,
on this mysterious journey through time.
Some of the mem’ries make me glad,
to know that I’ve been helped through sad,
and there are people there for me,
on this beautiful journey through time.
But others still bring many thoughts,
about what all I could have done,
and everything that I did wrong,
on this terrible journey through time.
Through happiness and sadness too,
there is so much that I can do,
and what will happen later on,
on this boundless journey through time.
An Orphaned Heart
Those words I remember from not long ago,
when was it you said them?
I don’t even know.
Those smiles you put on your faces that night,
you said that you loved me,
but I saw your lies.
You tore up my heart because you didn’t care.
I was just in the way,
a burden to bear.
Oh, maybe someday you will throw me away.
I’ve been hurt much too much,
I’ll wait for that day.
And then I will live on my own, soon to die.
In a cold, empty world,
where I still cannot cry.
Fading
In only a moment,
a life fades away.
It takes just a minute,
and leaves only pain.
In only a second,
a tear falls in peace.
A heart stops it’s beating,
and leaves behind grief.
