My uncle has six dogs, two inside and four out
The glass door dividing them is stained with marks of their snouts
The dogs in want out and the dogs out want in
When that door opens, sheer mayhem begins
Both dogs make efforts to cross the borderline
Tails waging eager to taste the other side
The grass is greener is guess, these words a foreign to them
They don't know of these sayings that created by men
They only know what they cannot have, what their body tells them is good
Its in their instincts to want what a normal dog should
The dogs in thirst for fresh breathable air
The dogs out side want to know the comfort of a cushioned chair
No one has it perfect, we all want more
We want to see what else this life has in store
Its the same with them i guess, just not so visible
They cannot ignore their desires like us, to them their unmissable
At least we can set them aside to hunt for later
But their instincts are triggered by a hair pin detonator
Who has it better ? they don't even know
The dogs outside want comfort, the dogs outside get slow
One wants exercise and room to play
The other wants warmth and a place to lay
The difference between them and us is we can have it both ways
The choice and supplies to help us live out our days
We can have the choice between outside and in
We have no border telling us where to begin
We take these rights for ourselves, keeping them like a hogs
I know that we have it better than these six dogs
