Anna stands at five feet, five inches tall and weighs in at 140 pounds. She has dark red hair that reaches between her shoulder blades with parted fringes that reach her jawline. She usually keeps her hair tied back into a high ponytail leaving only her fringes lying loose upon her thin face. Her eyes are that of light, chocolate brown, filled with fierce determination. Though those big brown eyes of hers are marked with tiresome age and shadows due to lack of sleep.
Her skin isn't flawless, but it's a nice ivory shade with pink and red pigments, especially in her cheeks. Scars riddle her fit body as well. One, long, jagged scar drug diagonally across her cheek, beginning at the upper jawline to just an inch below her eye. A few noticeable ones mark her shoulders, a few minor scars along her legs and arms. There's also a couple of claw-like injuries tracing her abdomen and back. Even though battle worn from survival, Anna still has a comforting presence, her facial expressions housing delicate features every now and then.
As for her apparel, Officer McGraw sports a black long sleeved shirt that fits just right with sleeves that stretch out to the middle of her hand with the RPD's logo on the the upper arm of the sleeves. A few rips on the sleeves,as well. She wears dark, faded, fitted jeans that she can maneuver around in, which layer over her black worn out hiking boots. Keeping her jeans up, of course, she has a brown leather belt that's torn in a few minor areas with two side packs and a larger pack clipped to her backside. As for her boots, the laces have unraveled ends, the suede is littered with thick, oily residue from smashing undead faces in.
Beneath it you can see dried mud branching upwards onto the fabric of the shoe. And as far as accessories go, she wears a pair of pearl stud earrings and a pendant with a delicate silver chain and amethyst stone. The necklace has some meaning to it, it was the first goal she had and accomplished with her first paycheck ever. Draped over her shoulders is her brown leather shoulder holsters for her .45 auto. Strapped to her back with another thick piece of leather would be her shotgun. Last but not least, a combat knife she confiscated off of a corpse that's tucked into her belt and an iron pipe that's fitted into the belt loop of her jeans.
Personality:
Anna had started out a dedicated person whom took great pride in her accomplishments. She's dependable, always there to help those in need with her impeccable need to protect and serve others. Those were most of her reasons for entering the field of law enforcement. She was outgoing, eager, and had sharp observation skills, making her top of her game in the Police Academy. Unfortunately when Raccoon City erupted with the G-Virus, Anna's dedication had become questionable. She became selfish and tried to escape to save her own hide and as sudden as her selfishness reared it's ugly head, the sooner she found herself protecting survivors. Loyalty truly is her strong-suit.
Along her time traveling and surviving this disaster, she's matured quite a bit. Her friendly exterior, however, isn't as friendly as it was. She has developed a cold, distant, attitude. An icy heart to match. She's more into taking care of herself or her children, since usually the people she comes in contact with end up leaving or dying. She prefers not to get emotionally attached, though she's seemingly still guilty of trying to get you out of a tight squeeze. Even then Anna still holds her fierce determination and even her annoyingly hard headed nature.
History:
Born January 17th 1973 to Jack and Julia McGraw, Anna was the youngest of three siblings. She had an older sister, Janey whom had somewhat of a sibling rivalry with her. Always causing trouble or talking down to Anna. Next was her older brother Kyle. They had a decent relationship. He'd be overprotective and usually play video games with her. Her mother was a nurse at St.Luke's Episcopal Hospital whilst her father was a Lieutenant of the local Police Station. Inevitably, they divorced when Anna was 10. She didn't take it as hard as most other children would. She figured they'd work things out as usual. Unfortunately that never happened. Her father gained custody of her while Julia gained custody of the other two, remarried and moved to Raccoon City. Jack tried his best to spend time with his youngest and was particularly proud of how well she did in school from Elementary until the time she graduated fourth in her class. She didn't really have a hard life through her school years.
She reluctantly entered Kentucky State until eventually, she dropped out her mid-freshman year. She attended a Police Academy instead. She whipped through almost instantly, thanks to her athletic abilities she gained back in high school. (Track and soccor) Of course she hated sports, but she knew it would enhance her hand-eye coordination and of course speed. Apparently she was right. Only problem was, she failed marksmanship twice. During that course of time, she was struggling financially since her financial aid had run out and she was forced to move back home with her father. Continuing the academy, Anna had finally passed her Marksmanship exam barely by a few points. Once she was done with that, she had immediately looked into finding a job at a precinct.
Patrick had offered a job to his daughter in the police station he worked at, but Anna refused his proposal and instead looking into areas near where her mother lived. Receiving recommendations from her father and his superiors and of course former employment agencies, Anna was accepted into the line of duty at the Raccoon City Police Department. She was ecstatic to get into the precinct where the very first branch of S.T.A.R.S. was created. She even hoped maybe one day she'd be able to join in their ranks. But for now, she was to start out small as everyone else had to. Once getting to Raccoon City, she filed for a loan, to help start her off with an apartment not too far from her job. She didn't have to worry about transportation that way. As she settled into her new environment, she had found that her mother and her step-father had moved onto another city. Saddened by this news, she looked up her siblings.
Janey was married with a young daughter and her brother, unfortunately was in rehab, suffering from former Drug Abuse. Anna was astounded by this news, not sure how to comprehend it. The last time she had heard from them, they were all fine...now her family was completely separated. Not wanting to get involved, Anna realized she had her own life to worry about. She couldn't afford to lose her cool and lose her job in the crossfire. Eventually her first two years had gone by and she had made it passed the title of a "Rookie" cop. Then that's when the viral Outbreak began...She was working in the basement, trying to pick up some cold case files, the chief had asked for. That nearly took her all day and it was extremely quiet in the basement's file room. Up above, she was completely missing all the blood curdling horror...When she came back up to deliver the found files, she, to her horror, found fellow officers sprawled on the ground. Their was a fowl stench wafting into her face, causing her to gag and choke. Covering her nose she grabbed at her gun, her heart pounding.
"Oh my God...what could've...Jesus..." she muttered, terrified. The door to the East Office began to shake and the sounds of something inhuman came from the other side. She didn't want to find out what it was, so she backed away momentarily before high tailing it towards the back door. Upon escaping the station, she could hear people screaming, cars crashing, those inhuman moans and the sounds of something wet ripping apart.
It wasn't safe outside! She had no choice but to go back. She felt the urge to go and help those who were screaming but her sanity pleaded with her. She gritted her teeth together and decided it was better to save her own a** then worry about someone else's. That's when fate took control. She bumped into a man who had his hands cuffed behind his back, apparently he was arrested but something happened to whoever had him and he managed to survive handcuffed. Anna couldn't help but worry for the man's sake. Due to her dropping her keys while trying to escape the station earlier, she couldn't free the man so instead she protected him the best she could. The two had developed a close bond (possibly romantically) with one another and eventually made allies. A S.T.A.R.S. opperative (Non-cannon) and a civilian (A Chef).
The man she first met with had finally gotten out of the handcuffs and took it upon himself to try and protect Anna more. He was somewhat successful, but when he went off to investigate, the other officer was bitten by the ankle and infected. Anna was forced to fight off the culprit which was an infected dog. In return she was injured gravely by it's claws. Though she successfully escaped infection and destroyed the monster, she still needed stitching and was bleeding. Although the experience was very helpful and painful.
Upon the man's return, the S.T.A.R.S. officer had already fully turned into one of them...He attacked the formerly cuffed man, but the man managed to keep his gnarled teeth at bay as Anna blew his brains out with her gun. It was then that she found out what those undead were fully capable of. Inevitably her and the remaining survivors formed a plan to escape the city by tram and in the process finding a young boy who's parents were eaten.
Anna and the ex-cuffed man (Known as Richard Holden) had developed more of an attachment with one another, sticking closely to each other and keeping the young boy by their side. The Civilian was killed by an escaped experiment conducted by Umbrella as they made it out of the city. Of course she wouldn't have made it out with the help of Richard...Unfortuantely the two were separated during their escape.
James, the boy found, was immediately adopted into the care of Anna. His surviving relatives wanted nothing to do with the boy incase he had some sort of post-traumatic stress issues. Though it was Anna that suffered that fate. She began to hallucinate, having mild flashes of her time spent in Raccoon City. The Undead, others she knew being torn apart, the impact it made on her was great. She refused to see anyone about it. There was only one person she wanted to see, talk with, be around...Either way, she coped and learned to manage her anxiety attacks enough to continue with every day life.
Anna had went onto bigger and better things (Though she spent all her free time searching for her missing friend), deciding to remain in the law enforcement career track. She went back to college for awhile and inevitably several years later became a Government Official. As the Outbreak started again, she was worried of her son and daughter's survival, thus leaving James with a weapon and in her survivng father's hands. Immediately afterwards she began search for Richard Holden, knowing deep down he of all people were still alive. She had to find him at all costs...she needed him.
Side note: Anna wasn't ready for a real relationship with anyone..though she had her thoughts about a certain man...Anyway, she had wanted children sometime beforeshe was 35, thus she had gotten an Artificial insemination. Thus she was impregnated with Lucy. Unfortunately at the age of six, Lucy had developed cancer. The small child still has her hair, though it's still a little thin, however. (She's not balding though....)

Introduction:
Ashland, Kentucky was Anna's Birthplace, her home, where all her friends and father was. These streets use to be so lively with what inhabitants that had populated the small town she was from. Now they were completely empty...of the living at least. She wasn't too broken up. Atleast her father, son and daughter were safe in a place where the infection hadn't reached fully.
The streets were trashed, the stores were vandalized and the street lamps were broken or leaning towards the curb. Anna had drove through Providence Avenue slowly as to scan the local area.
Spread out were the undead. The midnight blue SUV was covered in filth from the grill to the back headlights. It didn't matter much to Anna though. Not like she'd get pulled over for a broken tail light or two...
She pressed on forward, one gloved hand on the wheel, the other rubbing at her forehead. She drew in a deep breath and then exhaled with a sigh. It was like this every single day. She should've known better than to think there would possibly be any other survivors in this town. The corpses among he spotted the vehicle and began stumbling, clumsily towards it. Anna took notice and pressed her foot down on the gas pedal slightly harder. The vehicle sputtled and a pinging noise could be heard.
"s***," she grumbled, her eyes dragging down to the gas gage.
The orange needle was nearly at Empty. She narrowed her eyes and slammed her hand down on the case.
"f**king great! Dammit..." Anna rubbed at her temples, shutting her eyes for a bit. SLAM! Anna jumped, her eyes snapped open in full alert. Pressing itself against her side windows were zombies. They began to rock the SUV back and fourth, moaning and groaning. The smell was starting to come through the grill now, entering the car. The officer coughed a little and covered her nose with the sleeve of her shirt.
'Maybe I can make it to the Valero down the street...gotta try...and fast.'
She shifted the gear back, looking over her shoulder as she drove back wards. The SUV rocked violently as she heard a crunch and what sounded almost like a splat. It didn't phase her much. She's run over bodies plenty of times in the past decade or so. Anna then resumed to look forward before reversing the gear into Drive.
With that, she drove forward, pushing through the small flock of the undead. Ultimately she had outran them so to speak, but before she could get to the gas station, the SUV stopped.
Officer McGraw shook her head and kicked at the pedal a little before reaching over for her shotgun and pushing the door open. As she unbuckled the seatbelt her eyes darted her surroundings, taking it all in and making sure nothing was out to get her. Paranoid, she stepped out of the vehicle carefully, with the weapon held tightly in her grasp. She didn't hear anything, but that doesn't particularly make it safe. Anna knew that for sure.
She kicked the truck's front tire and grumbled a few explicits before proceeding to the back of the vehicle and lifting the hatch to the back end. She pulled out a bright red gas container. She shook it but no dice.
"Lovely. Well, better get walkin' then..."
