I just got done watching The Day The Earth Stood Still. First off, I never saw the original movie, so I can't compare it to that.
Anyway, the movie is about an alien who has come to Earth. The human race is killing the planet, so the alien came to save Earth... by killing the humans. It's up to a woman and her son to convince him that we can change and to spare us.
I thought it was a pretty good movie. As I said, I'd never seen the original, so I'm not sure how this compares to the classic, but this is worth seeing.
