Friends Forever.
Friendship starts at any age,
I made a friend when I learned,
To turn the page,
She wasn’t very tall,
But when it was time for recess,
We had a ball,
Shortly after we were friends,
She left for a little bit,
And our conversations end,
Then there’s a new bus,
And school,
Where kids like to cuss,
I hold my books close while,
Well… I look for a seat,
And I see a friendly smile,
I ask if I can sit with her,
Her smiles familiar,
And she says sure,
She asks me,
Do you know who I am?
As I think who is she,
When we said bye,
I knew that tomorrow,
We’d say hi,
We talked a little each day,
Time flew,
And it became May,
We found each other,
That following year,
And another,
There were now three,
And thanks to her,
I was now me,
The bus got worse,
With being picked on,
And the words were course,
And thanks to my friend,
She told them to shove it,
And put the bullying to an end,
She left once more,
And it was hard,
Because she left me sore,
She told me a secret,
One that changed our lives,
She made me promise to keep it,
She’s always here,
When I cry,
For every tear,
We’re more than friends,
And I’m glad I met her,
I hope it never ends
