Domo Backpack ate my head....
Crazy adventures in this world we call, GAIA.
Ugh! I just had to make an entry about this!
- Yes this is going to be controversial, but it already has been. -
You guys will probably laugh at this.

Okay >_< ;; Maybe it's me but...before I stepped down as a Moderator I never had the word "I'm a Moderator" in my sig...ever. Well cept the PM Online Moderators if you need help things. O_O;; but why would you want a sig that says I'm a mod...since your name is already colorful....

I just didn't understood it Y_Y;; Are you using that to your advantage? Sure...some mods post it there cause some people are blind and doesn't see &_& the name. But I don't see the reason for having "I'm" on your sig Y___________Y;;

It just gives me negative messages whenever I see that posted Y___Y;;
gonk I'm not picking on you guys (my former colleagues) Just something I've been thinking off since O_O I first saw it.

I don't mean to criticize, but it may be entirely possible that some mods let their position and the power that comes with it go to their head. People gun for the position, you see people all the time making threads saying "I'd make a great mod." People are full of themselves. Some people compete for the position. It's like any other form of celebrity, at least that's my take on it. I think some people are good mods and that they've reached their position because they really care about Gaia. But I've had an experience with a thread helper that seemed to suggest his interests may have been a little misplaced. That being said, I think there's a lot of pressure on the people who serve Gaia. There's only so much that they can do and the site has become so large. Of course they can't be at 100% all the time. And I might not know entirely what I'm talking about. People may have stories that paint a clearer picture. So...

Take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I don't understand either. I don't understand why Helpers do it either.
I mean, I am perfectly aware that it's suggested in the Helper forum sticky you make note of it (I was a temp Helper ;P)... And they don't have colours... but still. Who cares? No one; except the people's whos threads you're moving. Besides, a lot of them complain no one PMs them then complain when they do... neutral Make up your mind.
With mods, it's even more pointless. 'CAUSE DUH, COLOURED NAMES??? Well, whatever... =_=

Basically, I guess people do it... to brag.

I was just complaining about that to someone the other day. xd I don't think it's necessary to put that in one's sig or occupation slot or whatever. It just looks cheesy and arrogant. And yeah, the coloured names (and, err, forum moderator lists when they're working) are more than obvious.

I have never even put the word moderator in my sig...much less that I am one. I don't even like saying that I'm a moderator. It feels weird.
