I worked for 2 years on getting this thing (yeah i know its ALONG time). If you really want a really expensive item here are a few tips:
1. try limiting your spending money (maybe you spend 500g a day no more)
2. buy low sell high (try to haggle on prices in MP or in forums)
3. try to make friends with the seller (if you do that sometimes they will give you a discount because their your friend)
4. dont beg for the item (if they refuse try someone else)
5. borrow some gold from a friend (you should pay them back though)
