101 Questions You Should Be Able to Answer About Yourself

Basics

1. What is your full name? Do you have a nickname?
My full name is Kodako Haruhi Takabe, but just about everyone calls me Ko.

2. How old are you? When is your birthday?
I am almost 17, and I was born on May 3rd.

3. Where were you born? Where do you live now? Are you patriotic?
I was born in Tokyo, Japan, lived for a very long time in my father’s secret compound in Korea, and now I am a permanent resident of Titan’s Tower in San Francisco, California. I’m not patriotic, but I have worn a flag as a toga before. Eddie’s fault.

4. Who are/were your parents? (Names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
My mother was a wonderful woman, who died because of all the things my father saw fit to do with his money, curing her cancer was not on the list. If you do not mind, I would like to ignore the fact that my father even exists, but since you must know, he is the head of the Takabe Shipping Corporation, largest import/export system in all of Asia. We make FedEx look like a post office in the middle of Kansas. And if you could not tell, he is an a**. This is all you need to know.

5. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I am an only child, thank you. It would have been impossible to sneak a younger sibling to America along with me, so of this I am glad.

6. What is your occupation?
I am the technical advisor and overall caretaker of Titan’s Tower. Also, I am in charge of kick-starting anyone who needs to get angry to fight properly. Basically, everyone is my b***h, and I am the master. Even Robin.
For this, he hates me. But I make good coffee, so I may stay.

7. How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
Ah, this is rather embarrassing. I am 5 feet tall, and I weigh 145 pounds. I am...heavy is probably the kindest way I could possibly phrase it. No, best to say it. I am a fatty. Fatty fat fat fatty.

8. What color is your hair? What color are your eyes?
As always, my eyes are grey-blue. For today, my hair is purple. I enjoy the color purple, in all its many shades and literary formats. I was born with black hair, however.

9. What is your race?
Physically, I am human. Ethnically, I am Japanese. Mentally, I am a Vulcan. That nerve-pinch thing would be so cool, but Robin will not teach me, as I would not use it for the good of mankind. I would use it to keep Eddie from eating all my ice cream.

10. To which social class do you belong?
I am rich. No, that is incorrect. My father is rich. Eventually, I will kill him, and then I will be rich. For now, I am living day by day in the employment of the Teen Titans. I do not get paid, which is sad, because I really need new socks, and it is difficult to buy new socks without money.

11. Do you consider yourself to be attractive? Do others?
I do not consider myself attractive whatsoever. Eddie once told me that if he wasn’t both gay and in a committed relationship, he’d go out with me, because I am the most beautiful girl in the world. I immediately slugged him and told him that it was not nice to lie.

12. What is your style of dress?
Comfort. My jeans are worn, my shirts are mostly cotton, and my jackets are snuggly. Also, I like accessories. Hair clips are the best things that have ever been. I own “proper” clothes, but I only wear them when I am needed to go undercover as someone attached to the Takabe group. They sicken me. They are not clothes, they are lies.

13. Do you have any scars? Tattoos? Birthmarks? Other unique physical features?
I do not have any scars or birthmarks or tattoos, but I do have a brand. It is a large T, in the middle of my back. Thanks, dad. Happy 16th birthday to me. I am thinking of having another T tattooed next to it, so that it will mean “official property of the Teen Titans”, or a K before it for my initials. Perhaps in time.

14. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I cannot run, lest I aggravate my asthma, and I cannot eat anything curried. Other than that, you could plow a truck into me. Please don’t, though, as I am not invulnerable.

15. Are you right- or left-handed?
I am a righty, but I play Guitar Hero on lefty flip. I own everyone at that game. Um, except Robin. Robin is un-own-able.

16. What does your voice sound like?
My voice is soft, and rather low, but I can snarl with the best of them, and my screeches have been known to put parrots to shame.

17. What kind of vocabulary do you use?
I talk properly, thank you. I rarely use contractions, as well. I do not feel as though I need them.

18. List three quirks or other defining characteristics.
I am an antagonistic sort of person, that is my sole defining characteristic, I believe. At least, it is the only one that matters.

19. How often do you bathe? Do you wear perfumes?
I am a clean person, and I bathe at least once a day. I do not wear perfume, but my shampoo is rather sweet-smelling.

20. What kind of facial expression do you commonly wear (dour glare, wry smile, etc)?
I glare often at my team mates, but my most common facial expression is probably a smirk. Life is amusing, in an ironic way.

21. Do you use body language? How?
I do not. I say what I mean. My body does not need to communicate as long as my mouth still works.

22. Do you have a commonly used saying?
My most commonly used saying, at least right now, is probably, “Shut up or die, Kid.” It bothers Eddie greatly that I still use his old code name. I like it. I also say “Own your anger!” often.

Childhood

23. What is your earliest memory?
My earliest memory is a happy one. My mother and I were sitting in the park, watching the cherry blossoms (I must have been one or two, because we had yet to move to the compound), and all off a sudden, I heard the flap of tiny wings, and a baby bird shot out of one of the trees, taking it’s first flight. It was a beautiful sight, and I can honestly not remember a more pleasant time in my early life.

24. How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy it?
I had been privately tutored in the compound until I left, but I am now taking high school courses online. I do not need to do this, as my IQ is so far above anyone else in my online “class”, I am quite sure that you could add them all up and my IQ would still be higher. But I do enjoy school, if I do not enjoy the company.

25. Where did you learn most of your knowledge and skill?
I learned through books and practical knowledge. Teachers were never very helpful to me.

26. How would you describe your childhood in general?
A burst of joy followed by a lifetime of sorrow and pain.

27. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a dancer, but no one with my body shape could have possibly achieved that. So I became a hacker instead.

28. When and with whom was your first kiss?
My first kiss was with the son of the head cook of the Takabe compound. I was nine, and he was twelve. I was much more attractive as a child, I believe.

29. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
I am indeed a virgin, by my own choice. I am quite sure that if I went up to someone and said “hey, let’s have some sex.”, it would not be nearly as satisfying as it would be if I was in a committed relationship with one person for awhile. That is why one of my new year’s resolutions is to acquire a boyfriend and eventually have some sex.

30. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? Does that affect you?
I believe we’ve already covered how much of a toad my father is, so I will not go into it any further.

Influences
31. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Escaping the Takabe compound and fleeing to America. Becoming a Teen Titan is the second most important.

32. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Becoming a Teen Titan. Or possibly being complimented by Oracle. That was rather special.

33. What is your greatest regret?
I wish I could have saved my mother. There was once a time when father listened to me, heeded the things I said. Perhaps if I’d said something, he could have worked harder to cure her.

34. What is the most embarrassing or shameful thing ever to happen to you?
I once accidentally flashed a good portion of the superhero community. It was not my fault. My shirt was not acid-proof, and no one warned me that one of the heroes there had an acidic touch.

35. Do you have any secrets? If so, what are they?
My mouth does not have a filter. I have no secrets.

36. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I stabbed a guard in the neck as I escaped the Compound. I do not know if he lived.

37. When was the time you were the most frightened?
If I had been caught any time before reaching Titan’s Tower, I would have been killed. Either that or crippled, so I could never run away again.

38. Have you ever traveled outside of your country? If so, to where?
...I am not even going to bother answering this.

Beliefs

39. What is your alignment?
Religiously? I am an Atheist, though I may try Buddhism for a while.. Peace and enlightenment for everyone! Ohm.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Pessimistic. Everyone can bite me.

41. Do you believe in a god? If so, which one and why?
Nope.

42. Do you believe in an afterlife?
If there is one, I am going to go to hell for killing someone, if I actually killed him.

43. What is your greatest fear?
My father does not know where to find me but if he did, he’d waste no time in sending people after me. This is my only fear.

44. What makes your character angry? Sad? Happy? Why?
Everything makes me angry. Robin is sad because his parents and loved ones are all dead. Big deal. You were adopted by a multi-billionaire, and none of your family is looking to kill you. Cassandra is sad because her ex-boyfriend is dead. Big deal! No one is trying to KILL you! Thinking of my mother makes me sad. Thinking of killing my father makes me happy.

45. Do you think people are basically good or basically evil?
Nothing is good or evil. That would be like saying that everyone is either black or white, without taking the time to embrace the grey.

46. What are your views on politics? Religion? Sex?
I stay out of such matters as politics and religion. Sex should be had by people who either love each other, or have been paid a great deal of money to pretend so.

47. What are your views on gambling, lying, theft, and killing?
They are all evil, no exceptions.

48. How far will you go to defend your beliefs?
Not very far.

49. How much do you value money?
As I am currently very much broke, the value of a dollar has never been higher in my eyes.

50. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Kill a small child, or brand an animal. Or brand another human being.

51. Do you believe in self-sacrifice for the greater good?
Not at all. I shall have my cake and still be alive to eat it.

52. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I’ll tell you when I find some.

53. Are you superstitious?
Not quite, but I always throw a pinch of spilled salt over my left shoulder.

54. How much do you respect the beliefs and opinions of others?
I do not. If people respected me, they would not share their beliefs in public, and I would not have to throw things at them.

55. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings?
No filter on my mouth, remember? No secrets, all truths.

56. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I do not like my father, does that count as a prejudice?

Dealing With Others

57. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Currently, Eddie is the most important person in my life. He got me into the Tower, secured me a place in the Titans, and above all, he is my best friend. I will always be in his debt. Perhaps, once I claim the Compound as my own, I shall buy him an island of his own as a show of thanks. Something tropical where he can walk about in the nude without Cassandra yelling at him.

58. Who is the person you respect the most? Despise the most? Why?
I may not like Robin, but as the leader of my team, I respect him above many people. I think the second part of this answer is a bit redundant.

59. Do you have a significant other? Who?
Nope, no boyfriend just yet, sorry. Though there is someone I am quite taken with at the moment, he would run in terror if he knew, I am sure of it.

60. Do you have a lot of friends? Who is your best friend?
I have a…moderate number of friends. I know I’ve got at least four. My best friend is Eddie, hands down.

61. How do you relate to members of the same race? Class? Sex?
I don’t really like other Asian people. I walk around San Francisco and it’s like they know. Like they know exactly who I am. Like my father put out and all-points bulletin across Asia, and any second, I’ll be hauled back “home”. I do not really have a class anymore, but I never liked all the rich people I was forced to be social with as a child. They stank of money and fake kindness. I get along well with other girls, though. Because I am a fatty, I am not seen as a threat to them.

62. How do you relate to members of a different race? Class? Sex?
As everyone I know is either Caucasian, Latino, or from another planet altogether, I get along quite well. None of my fellow Titans have tried to kill me yet, at least. Homeless people like me, and I like them. They’re honest. I get along with the boys, as long as I’m not beating them in video games.

63. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I thought I was in love once. My father used to use me as an intermediary for his shadier business dealings. I was 14. The man I had to meet was much taller than me, probably American, with long hair and a very heavy coat. He let me wear in, and I nearly drowned in the fabric. He was setting up a drug ring within my father’s territory (his territory being Asia, in all it’s vastness), and he was looking for permission. I met with him many times over the span of a month, acting in the place of my father to cut him a deal. After the month was up, he headed off for places unknown, kissing my forehead and draping his coat across my shoulders. I still have it.

64. What do you look for in a potential lover?
A sense of honor. I don’t want someone who wouldn’t think twice about shoving past an elderly person or hitting an animal. I also like them funny.

65. How close are you to your family?
I’m not answering this, you can’t make me.

66. Do you want a marriage, family, and/or children?
Eventually. I don’t want any now, of course, not with all the things I need to do, but someday.

67. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
If I can avoid it, I won’t argue. If I begin to argue with someone, it is because that person has pissed me off. And that is when I tear said person to bits with my words.

68. Are you a listener or a talker?
Both. Being a glorified security officer, it is my place to listen. But also, no mouth filter, remember?

69. How long does it usually take for you to trust others?
Let me put it this way: I’ve been a Titan for close to a year, and I still sleep with one eye open and a knife under my pillow.

70. Do you hold grudges?
I hold them forever.

71. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Occasionally. People look to me for advice quite a bit, too. They must think slanty eyes= vast wisdom.

72. Do you like interacting with large groups of people?
Oh, god no. I’ll be the one in the back, watching everyone.

73. How well do you express yourself?
Pretty well. I don’t need a translator, at least.

74. How quickly do you judge others?
I don’t. I wait until I see their true character before forming an opinion.

75. Do you care what others think of you?
Not in the least.

76. Do you have any enemies? How or why are they your enemy?
My father is my enemy. He became my enemy the day my mother died.

Personal Taste and Opinions

77. What is your favorite pastime? Color? Food? Possession?
I enjoy reading while listening to music. My favorite color is purple. My favorite food is a Subway tuna fish sub with olives. And my favorite possession is my Titans communicator.

78. What are your preferences in arts and/or entertainment?
I prefer opera and Broadway music to rap and hip pop, or whatever it is they call it these days.

79. Do you smoke, drink, go whoring, or use drugs? Why or why not?
Oh, god no! That is all so vile!

80. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
In front of the monitors. Sometimes I challenge people in Australia to Pong, if I am bored. Sometimes I spy on the other Titans, just to get blackmail material on them, it’s very fun.

81. What is your most cherished fantasy?
I sometimes fantasize that my mother is still alive, and that we’re watching the compound burn as my father is trapped in a slowly-melting glass box inside. And then there is my other fantasy, which is not polite to discuss in company.

82. How long is your attention span?
What? No, that is a joke. I need to pay very strict attention to the monitors, which I do for over 12 hours every day. I have a very long attention span.

83. Do you laugh a lot? What do you find funny?
Contrary to popular belief, I have a good sense of humor. I like to watch funny little videos of men falling off of bicycles and into lakes, or kittens that try to catch fake mice.

84. Is there anything that shocks or offends you? If so, what?
I’m not easily offended, but I do not like it when people use the extreme curses. They irk me.

85. How do you deal with stress?
I have a squishy little stress ball. It was a Christmas present from Zatara along with the note, “Squeeze the life out of this, not Eddie.”

86. How much athletic ability do you have? Artistic?
I have no athletic ability whatsoever. It was pure will that got me over the compound wall.

87. Do you like animals? Do you like children?
I do like animals very much. I’d like to own a cat someday. But children are small, sticky, unpleasant things that I wish to have nothing to do with.

88. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I am a very structured person, but a good dose of spontaneity never hurt anyone.

89. What are your pet peeves?
I despise people who talk about a person, while in said person’s presence. It is both rude and hurtful.

Self-Image

90. What is your greatest strength as a person? Weakness?
I own my anger. Nothing on this Earth could cause me to explode in any way. At the same time, I seem very cold and distant to people who do not know me well, and it causes my teammates some distress.

91. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would like to lose some weight, perhaps grow a bit. 5’5” seems like a nice height to be at.

92. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Introverted. I am not a people person, but people like me anyway. I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

93. Do you like yourself?
I love myself. I simply tolerate everyone else.

94. Do you have a daily routine? How do you feel if your day is interrupted?
I wake promptly at 6, every morning, which is at least an hour before anyone else gets up. I make myself breakfast (Special K and orange juice, as my diet commands), then head to the monitors. I review the tapes from the hours everyone was asleep, just to be sure that there was no trouble, then check my email. I spend the next hour or two surfing the web, watching TV, and listening to the radio, checking all the frequencies for signs of trouble. Meanwhile, everyone wakes up, makes food, then come over and annoy me. If I find trouble, I use my communicator to send out a Tower-wide pulse that rallies the troops. In the absence of Robin, I am now considered the “brains” of the Teen Titans. I do not abuse this position. Much. If it is a slow day, I may tune out a bit and play Fields of Fantasy or Dragon Quest for a bit, perhaps check out webcomics or watch YouTube. Eddie got me addicted to that damn site. Around seven or eight, we draw names to see just who will be making dinner, and so far, I have never had to cook. I will never reveal my method. After dinner, I monitor the city for a few more hours, shutting down shortly before 11. Then I shower, brush my teeth, do twenty-five sit ups, then go to sleep. If my day is interrupted, I am obviously not feeling well. I am a creature of habit and order. I do not get distracted from my schedules.

95. What goal do you most want to accomplish in the next six months? Your lifetime?
Kill my father, seize his assets, and rebuild our corrupt company from scratch.

96. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
I see myself as head of the Takabe Shipping Corporation. Possibly dating someone.

97. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
If I could choose, I’d never want to die.

98. What is the one thing you would like to be remembered for after your death?
I want everyone to remember the final conflict with my father for control of the TSC, as it is sure to be glorious.

99. What three words would you use to best describe your personality?
Hard, cold, strong.

100. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Mean, sarcastic, smart.

101. Why are you risking your life to adventure?
Who is risking their life? I’m just here, watching the monitors and solving all the problems that are thrown at me. And doing some sit ups, because I am sick of being a fatty.
