My own zOMG log. Not much to read here.
3/4/9
I'm a very casual zOMG player. I like the game, but lack the time to play it. Plus, I limit my time intentionally since I don't want to become addicted to it. MMORPGs are way too addictive. I play zOMG as i find the time. And I do owe Karma a lot for farming with me and helping me get from level three to four so quickly.
This is a zOMG log for myself. I've already written info down on scrap sheets of paper. Those scrap sheets are playing hide and seek with my other scrap sheets of paper... It's not a good system. And until I get that little pile of papers back in order, this paperless entry will be very helpful.
Today I finally beat Kat's doll. I didn't believe people, but it truly is easier to solo her than going in with a crew. I had many failed attempts with crews and one winning solo attempt. I used two batteries and two ring polisher canisters in the process.
I will say that I am glad they fixed that quest. XD I wasted waay too many of my few precious zOMG hours waiting for a broken treasure chest to open. &.&;
Current stats:
solar 4.4, mantis 4.0, hack 4.2, dervish 4.0, diagnose 4.0, pot lid 3.0, divinity 4.0, teflon 3.0
Overall CL: 4.0
My HP is somewhere around 418? I don't remember, maybe around 445. XD; But that just sounds too high.
I learned, this past weekend, that pot lid and teflon are useful.
The old rings I used to equip were:
solar, mantis, hack, derv, diag, defib, div,
Eighth ring varied according to whatever I felt like or needed. It was usually shark or fleet feet.
I used to know exactly what 8 rings I wanted to use. My old plans were to obtain turtle as my 8th ring. I also wanted to obtain slash and replace mantis.
I'm very torn now. I always play the role of a healer... however, I like this being able to play solo thing... and actually being able to defeat enemies that are my level. XD Healers usually have such weak attack strength...
Anyway, I now must decide whether i want slash. I like the speed of mantis. I also have to decide whether I still want turtle. I also might have to stop carrying defib with me while raising. XD; As someone who is so partial to playing the healer role, that's a hard ring to put away.
I'm looking forward to finally being able to use some orbs and raise higher than 4.0. &3 I was scared of going over that 4.1 level cap on the doll quest. I don't really like breaking my rings to cap them at lower levels... It's very useful at times, but I'd rather not do that during a boss fight.
Annnd those are my current zOMG thoughts down in writing so i can stop thinking about them. ;] Until the next time I play! ...about two weeks from now. XD;

Yesterday I roamed around. I got ambushed by ghosts. ...So I figured I might as well complete that part of Kin's quest.
I fought Kat for the last time. I beat her, but I had to use a couple batteries and another ring polisher. I'd been keeping my CL at 4.1 in case I wanted to fight the doll again. I don't want to waste items, I'd have to waste them to beat her each time, sooo... I decided to raise my CL to 4.7.
I went roaming into Bass'ken yesterday. I talked to Leon, so I ended up just heading over to Agatha to finish off that quest.
Today Karma and i beat Kin's three bridges quest. Neither of us got rings. ; . ; It's very sad. I was realllly looking forward to getting slash.
Later, I went and beat she wolf. I was CL 4.8. I used the same ring set that I used to beat Kat's doll. I killed the pups, not too easily. And then survived while fighting she wolf. I used three batteries in all. They were all used at the very end when I was near out of stamina.
I was also stupid and I waited until I entered the instance before buffing myself. u .u; So i was always trying to catch up on stamina from the beginning. One of the wolves was able to swipe me while sitting. It took like 130 hp from the 300 I had at the moment. XD Not fun.
I think my rings were: solar 5.0, mantis 4.4, hack 5.0, dervish 4.4, diagnose 5.0, pot lid 4.0, div 5.0, teflon 4.0. ...Or something very close to that.
I really neeed slash. XD I love dervish, but it just isn't cutting it anymore. It's too weak. My new plan is to replace dervish with slash, once I obtain it.
Oh, I also used to think that if you partied with someone who's using double orbs, you also get the same effect. Welll I first partied with Karma and her double orbs after a zOMG update that changed the orbs. && The update made it so that stronger bosses drop more orbs. Liiike drums drop four orbs at a time. I swear they dropped only like one, maybe two orbs before. The garlic and fluff quests now give three orbs instead of two. I always assumed that the boost in orbs was because i was in a crew with Karma and Karma's double orbs. ...Now I realize that it's just the game. XD;; That was a nice boost in the game. &3 I feel sorry for those who already farmed and grinded for their orbs. I feel like I can't get orbs fast enough, but they had it worse.
I need to find a new repeatable quest. I do not like the carrion fluff quest. I need to finish the quest to make a sister for the axe. i think I get a repeatable quest to hunt the wolves after that? I don't know, but I need a good repeatable quest. ; .;

I haven't played much zOMG. Too bad. I read that they dropped the orb rewards back down... a lot. Saws only give me two orbs now when they're defeated. u .u;
My basic strategy right now is: solar, mantis, hack, slash, diagnose, pot lid, divinity, teflon.
It will change.
I have turtle. I haven't used it yet. I forgot that I chose it from some quest...
I've mostly been killing bugs on the boardwalk for orbs. I ran around and filled out some of my gold beach map. I did all of the aquaducts quests up until the point where I have to go survive in that hive place.
I read that aquaducts quests are repeatable up until CL 6.1. I think my CL is somewhere around 5.6 or 5.7 currently. I will raise my CL the next time I trudge on with questing.
I've spent waaaay too much time hunting eggs on the zOMG Easter event this weekend. Who knew I'd ever be disappointed when I found an egg with a golden center. :/
I tried out the pirate ring set for foot speed. I saw no noticeable difference.
I've been using the angelic set for luck. I've noticed a big difference in drop rates. Darn. I really don't like healing halo but I just might keep it around more often now.
Thanks to the increased luck, I got three new rings from drops today. <3 I got duct tape, coyote spirit and quick sand. I also got another shark.
I now only need: bump, water balloon, adrenaline, fitness, improbability sphere, iron will, knife sharpen. At least i don't think I have knife sharpen. Long way to go... but I've got a lot of playing left to do on zOMG too. XD
I'm glad I have duct tape. I hear that it's an integral part to soloing boss fights along with scaredy cat.
Over and out.

Halo month! =D Okay, sooo that has nothing to do with this.
I read that we'll soon be getting "mini-events" where all people in one area have to work together for about 15 - 30 mins. I know of this concept from other MMORPGs so I'm really interested in seeing how Gaia works this out since the Gaians aren't really in separate factions against each other.
I went onto zOMG with Karma the other day. Karma had to kill the pup commander guy. A very nice lv 9 person helped us kill the commander, then went into the vortex with us. I took too long deciding which ring I wanted to get next so we told the person that they could move on so she wouldn't have to wait for me.
After that, I took Karma to the anchor bug quest. Those boardwalk bugs are a decent fight. It's a good quest when few people are in the area. Once there are a lot of people in the area, the bugs all die too quickly and then they're too few and far between. That quest gives four orbs now. So does the quest for the 10 pups and 10 terrors and so does the sand fluff quest.
When i first did the anchor bug quest, the orb count was amazing. i got numbers around 15 or 20 the first two times... and then I think I got 8 orbs all the other times. ...Possibly more than eight. I remember it feeling like a lot. Now it just doesn't seem worth the time to find 20 to kill for only four orbs. I should have played more while they had the game set to give so many more orbs per quest. I do understand why they had to stop it. They originally had the harder areas give more orbs per reward to entice people into striving to get to the better areas with more drops. However, people would stop in bass'ken at the she wolf quest and grind for hours until they were level 9. ...And then go breeze through and try to beat the end game boss. This created people who knew nothing about crewing and didn't form the friendships and lasting crews that the devs would like people to form.
Annywayyy... the only quests left for me in the aquaducts are the repeatable quests. The quests are all fine and dandy until a whole mob of tiny terrors beat up on you and keep appearing one right after another. This is also all good if there are others in the area. In my case, i was usually there alone... not so good.
I've moved on to sand fluffs. My current repeatable quest is killing sandfluffs until I find 15 synthetic fibers to take back to Benny for four orbs. The quest is repeatable up till CL 8. I read that there's a duneslam quest that caps at 7.1. I'm going to repeat the sand fluff quest until I have enough orbs to get me to 7.1. I'll decide what to do after that as I go along.
The fluffs can freeze you in one place and they come to each other's aid. My current set bulks up my HP so I can last a good while. I read that you need willpower (iron will) to block their attacks, not defense. Problem is... I do not have that ring yet.
My current ring favorites for soloing haven't changed much. I like solar, mantis, diagnose, div, pot lid, teflon. The other two rings change depending on whether I need an AOE attack or whatnot.
I have been testing out the chef set. I already keep teflon and pot lid anyway, and the other two rings are meat and knife sharpen. I really don't like carrying around knife sharpen. I swear that our attacks rarely miss anyway. Meat is nice since I like the extra HP boost. With full rage, my ring currently gives me 340 HP. With full Ghi, my HP is then around 1100 or so. Without ghi or meat, my Hp is in the 600-700 range. Meat is a horrible healing ring. Therefore, I must keep diagnose on. I always run out of stamina quickly, so I also keep div on.
Now herein lies the problem. That leaves me with two ring spots left and room for only two attacks. With the extra defense, I can last a long time so it doesn't matter if it takes a little longer to kill something. What matters is when I have more than one enemy attacking at once. With only two attacks, I'd rather not keep an AOE ring on or else I might attract other enemies to hit me when I'm only fighting one. This set is only really good when fighting with someone else who has strong attacks to take an enemy down. You tank, they help attack. Downside? To actually be a good tank, I'd need to carry taunt also. This means I lose an attack. If your partner carries div, you can replace div with taunt. If you can trust that person to heal you, you can replace diagnose with another attack.
Current ring set:
solar 7.0, mantis 7.0, div 6.0, diag 6.5, meat 4.0, teflon 6.0, knife 2.8, pot lid 6.0
I do have a little over a hundred orbs saved up currently. I won't use them until I decide what rings i want to use in the duneslam fight.
The next set I want to try out is the stamina set, although a guide said that the boost is about equal to the boost from div. I did just remember that i can get a willpower boost through a ring set, so I'll check out the shaman set.
The rings that I still do not have are: bump, adrenaline, iprob sphere, iron will, and i don't remember whether I have density or not.

Most of the journals will log the big updates and feelings of the times. I plan to look back on these in the future. Some large change affecting our lives now usually often turns into something we rarely think about.
