Okays, Go ahead and rip my book apart.
Nassanette Marie Vandor, a halfbreed between vampire and human, has lived the life of a vampire. Her parents, (the queen and king of Russia), beleive her to be a pure breed. Both of her parents are, so why not her?
One word, mommy.
Mommy has had a 'thing' with this human and her father wasn't too happy about that. He killed Nessa's mom, tried to kill Nessa (but failed) and commited suicide. She escaped being ruler because she ran away from her home and her brother, Remese ( Rem-E-zz), reluctantly took the position as ruler. Remie has sent out 2 guards to obtain her and force her back so she can be in her rightful place. And while all this is happening, she falls in love with Mioko (My-O-co)!

One word-mommy.

The Story of Nassanette Marie Vandor
My brother's face began to form a picture into my head. His soft, kind voice always said those words, "Don't leave me. Your my sis." and my following up sentence rolls a million times in my head. "I have to leave because your not my brother." My eyes gaze over at a nearby tree has my feet hurried along the tan trail. I didn't look back, for fear of my brother's magnificent golden pleading eyes. He wasn't really my brother, but more of a half-brother. My father is a human who goes by the name of Richard. My mother is Queen Marie. Her husband, King Ruku, had Remese (I call him Remie) and she and Richard had me. The king didn't know about Richard and went on living with the lie for about 10 years.
I could hear small footsteps behind me and I could tell my brother was coming. He quickly grabbed my hand with his strength. A tear streaked down his face. "You stupid halfbreed!" he yelled. "Don't leave..." he held my arm in a tight squeeze of his hand. His perfect features were grim and he still looked cute. He's a vampire. The king and queen are vampires. Y'know, the blood sucking creatures with amazing powers. That's how I became a half breed. It is true that if a vampire bites you, you become one too. But vampires can also reproduce just as humans can.
By this time, he was crushing my arm. "Keep doing that, and you'll break my arm!" I yelled, my voice slightly cracking. The advantages of being a halfbreed, I still get the looks and the powers, but I get to be half human which means I can go into the sun and I don't have the blood cravings. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t like the taste of blood.
The moon was reflecting in his golden yellow eyes. Pain was stored in them, but fear was also hinted. He was afraid of becoming King and me leaving him caused pain. His grip loosened and he let go. I shuffled his dark brown hair and put on a fake smile. "I'll be fine...Goodbye." and I walked down the tan trail...
The memories that had filled my dreams woke me up. I sat up in the pale green bed and stared at the window pane. My heart was racing and beads of sweat had formed on my neck face and neck. I wiped away the hairs that were stuck to my face. The dream of Remie might be considered a nightmare. The way that I just left him wasn't very agreeable with my own morals, but I had to. I couldn't become Queen. It was too much for me...
I stood up and stared out the window. Smudges of fingers from children showed on the glass. I need to clean that, I thought. I am currently living in an orphanage. Shay Orphanage. I help around here because I feel obliged to the caretaker. When I left, I was only ten years old. So, I didn't know what I was getting into. I wandered the streets for a year, stealing and eating garbage just to make it through the day. A kind stranger turned me into an orphanage in Russia. But it closed, and I was transferred to various others. Soon, they shipped me to the Americas. I was taught English when I was thirteen and mastered it by age 14. Although, I do have my heavy Russian accent. And that's how I ended up here. I am not sure which of the United States I am in, but the city's name is Acreville.
The moon was very clear and full tonight. The stars were gleaming. A quiet chirping sound made it so it wasn't desperately quiet. I could hear the snores of my roommates, Clara, Robert, Laura, Drake, and Blake. But I wasn't friends with them, they weren't with me. We all don't want to get close because we know that one day we'll all be taken and separated. It's a very solitary policy, but it works.
I sat back down on my bed. I couldn't sleep, not after that. I was on the bottom of a bunk bed. Laura was on top. To the right of me slept the twins, Blake and Drake. Clara was sleeping on the bottom wile Robert was on top. I stared at her for a moment, admiring her features. She was an olive colored teenager with braids that reached to her ears. She had medium sized lips and dull brown eyes. She had a cute nose and she was really skinny. She tossed to the other side of the bed, and I turned my gaze to Drake. He also had black hair, but it was short and curly. He had dark blue eyes and a strong chin. He was sun bronzed and probably only 11 or 12 years of age.
I could hear the chirping of birds come into the bedroom. Light was illuminating the pale white bedroom. I could see the light green carpet on the bottom of my feet. I stood up, walked over to the window, and pulled the shades down. Clara tuned towards me and opened her eyes. "You are awake early again?" she said in an odd accent. Nobody knows where she used to live. But then again, that's the way everyone is. "Yes. The sun is coming up. Go back to sleep, okay?" I said in my thick Russian accent. She nodded to me and closed her eyes.
A few hours later, a woman with red curly hair and a face full of freckles walked in. "Hello, Ms. Susan." I said. She was the owner. "Good Morning, Nessa. Can you please come and watch the children in the playroom? I'm helping Lisa cook breakfast." she asked in a whispered tone. She was such an orderly lady. But she really cared for us and made sure we were all ok. So, in return we all respected her. "Yes ma'am. I'll go now." I said. She smiled at me and handed me a light gray, patched up dress. "and will you give this to Clara when she wakes up?" she asked politely. I nodded my head and replied, "Yes, Ma'am." she thanked me and shut the door.
I set the clothes onto a nightstand next to Clara's bed. Then, I walked over to my bed and got onto my knees. I fished out a box of my stuff from under my bed and pulled out a purple waitress dress I stole from one of the servants when I left. It was a little big on me back then, but it fits now. Five years has past since and each year I am tempted to go back. But I can't. Not now, not ever.
Above me, I heard movement. Laura must have woken up. She turned and a silent hush spread into the room. I slowly pushed the box back under the bed and ran to the bathroom. I put on the purple dress and brushed my silver straight hair. Then, I brushed my teeth and headed over to the playroom.
After a hour or so, I heard Susan call , “Children! Breakfast!” and all the little ones ran out of the playroom. Toys and books were scattered all over the place. I opened the colorful toy chest and set the toys in it. Once they were done, I started on the books. Half-way finished, Ms. Susan walked in. “Nessa? What are you doing?” she asked me. I put a book on the shelf. “We need to teach those children how to clean up there messes.” I joked. Susan smiled at me. She walked in. Behind her was a man and a woman, probably both 40 or older. They were both snow-colored and had golden-yellow eyes, like my brother. I wish I could have the heightened sense of smell, as purebloods do. The man had perfectly combed brow hair and the woman had curly blonde hair. They were in shape and looked perfect. I accidentally dropped the book. I hurriedly picked it up and sat it on the bookshelf “It seems her morals are in good order.” the man said in a low tone, to which a human couldn’t hear. I could, on the other hand, because of my heightened sense of hearing. I only got basically half of what true vampires have. “She’s beautiful for a human.” the woman whispered in a heavenly tone. They stared at me and I clumsily kept putting up books. Ms. Susan just smiled. “Well, this is the hard worker. I hate to see her leave though. She’s a good helper.” Ms. Susan said. I stared over at her and then back and forth between the vampires and her. “Leave, Ms. Susan? Is this couple going to adopt me?” I asked, surprised. Ms. Susan nodded. She jumped for joy and hugged me. “This is Mr. and Mrs. Avail.”
The couple kept staring, whispering things that they noticed about me on the way to Ms. Susan’s office. I had only been to her office once, on an errand because someone was being transferred and Ms. Susan was busy. We walked through a well known hallway and into the office. The two sat in the burgundy chairs in front of the desk while I sat on a bent up old couch to the side. Ms. Susan had a huge grin on her face and the couple seemed to be excited. Ms. Susan handed them two sheets of thin paper. “Just sign those and she’s all yours. Just to let you know, she’s from Russia. We don’t know anything about her birth parents and her silver hair is actually natural.” Ms. Susan bragged. The couple finally turned there gaze off of me and the man began to fill out the papers. “That’s fantastic! We are from Russia too. And Her hair is natural? That is amazing!” the woman replied. She turned to me and started to speaking in Russian, “Do you speak Russian?” I smiled politely and said, “Yes, Ma’am.” in Russian. “Oh, David! She’s amazing. She’s perfect too!” the woman said to the man, which must be David. She said it in that low tone again, so Ms. Susan couldn’t understand. “Nessa, why don’t you go get your stuff and come back while I’m finishing these papers.” David said. I stood up and thanked him. Just as I walked out the door, I heard, “She’s so well behaved too!” and I ran to my room.
Clara and Robert were sitting on their beds, playing a hand-held game. Little pings and pangs game from the game and they were laughing. “Hello, and Goodbye.” I said to them, after bedding down and reaching for the box. “Where you goin’, Nessa?” Robert asked. I stared at him for a moment, then responded with, “I’m being adopted. I don’t know where I am going.” I sighed over there gasps and walked out of the bedroom.
The happy couple was standing by the wooden double door entrance. Ms. Susan was probably already putting on a movie for everyone else here. “Charlotte, This is the one. The perfect daughter.” David whispered to the woman. “No disrespect sir, but I can hear what you are saying. I do not wish to intrude on your conversation so if you wish for me not to hear it, I must ask you to speak lower.” I said mannerly. A flit of shock rushed through their faces but they regained their coolness. “That’s interesting…” The man opened the door and the woman and I walked out. Charlotte walked to a crimson Lambergini. My eyebrows raised high and my mouth opened, which I quickly shut. David ran quickly to the car, but I knew he could have gone faster. He opened the door for me and I got in. Then, he did the same for the Charlotte. After that, the car started and we were on our way to my new home.
