Sane people...guard your minds.
This is pretty much just where I write down random things that I just happen to feel like writing down at the time.
Sera Cross: Goes by “Cross”

Appearance: Stands 5’4” and weighs approx. 100 lbs due to her bird-like bone structure. Fair skinned with vivid aqua/electric blue eyes. Hair color was altered during experimentation due to misplacement in a pigment determining gene, which consequently turned her hair and fur a navy blue. This also gave her the nickname, “Pansy”, since the gene for blue pigment came from a blue pansy plant.
Normal: Age 16 | Current
Human: X | X

Bio: First successful genetic chimera (recombination of several different species’ DNA) and created to be an ultimate weapon. Created, raised, and trained by the researchers at the American Transgenic Center (A.T.G.C), a large facility in the remote mountains of Colorado. No “real” parents, but raised by the lead researcher, Cameron Cross, and she was thusly named after him once she was old enough to ask questions about her birth. Before age 5, she was referred to as “Experiment #925”, since she was the 925th experiment to take place. This was the number tattooed to the inside of her left forearm, along with a barcode that could be scanned for all her information and would distinguish her should she run away.

She was never told about her true nature—that she was just an experiment and was created in a test tube—and was brought to believe that she had a “strange and rare mutation that made her very special”, and everyone was trying to understand just what made her so special so that other people could be special, too. Of course, as a kid, she happily believed this since all the attention made to feel important and “special”. She was also told that her father was the head researcher, Dr. Cross, and her mother died during delivery due to obvious complications and blood poisoning; due to Cross’ mingled DNA, her blood type also mutated into a form that is incompatible with that of other humans and contains antigens that attack all other blood types, making transfusion toxic. This antigen was thusly dubbed the “Cross antigen”, and was then experimented on.

She was of course educated by some of the finest scientists and took to biology quite easily, becoming fascinated with the subject and bugging her teachers to tell her more even when her lessons were over for the day. With age, she eventually became an assistant to the researchers working on different projects and became well-versed in molecular biology and the complexities of genetics. But while she wasn’t in the lab or studying, she was in the training facility honing her skills in flight, speed, and all sorts of combat. Naively, she believed these training routines were just a good source of exercise, which was always stressed to her throughout her life, so she didn’t really question the intense workouts, all the while the scientist keeping records of her performance and progress, waiting for the time when they could send her on her first mission. That time came at age 14, when it was decided that her bones and muscles were fully developed and toned enough to send her into the field. Her comrades and associates geared her up in a new body suit with high-tech gear, including a holographic scanner for technical work and a cloaking device disguised as a simple cat collar, and she was given her official agent uniform which she was to wear whenever on a mission. Her first few missions went on without a hitch. She was briefed on the situation—often made to believe the target was a villain and needed justice, which wasn’t all the time true, but it was easier to convince her to act if she was attacking a “bad guy”—and then sent out to mesh into society, find the target and send back information, and then finally rendezvous with her comrades to confront and take out their target.

This went on swimmingly until a few months after her 17th birthday. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her, and she proceeded to do some digging into her own files, and due to her constant work with the researches finding and understanding the information was easy. But of course, the results weren’t what she expected to find. Upon reading, she discovered that she didn’t simply have a mutation, nor was she born a normal child. In fact, due to her severe mix-and-match of genes, she was a completely different species, a “Chimera” as they referred to her. Not only this, but she read up on all of her past missions to find that the targets were either people of power who threatened the facility, or enemies of insanely rich people who wanted them done in. Needless to say she was shocked and infuriated at being lied to her entire life, and the fact that she had been ordered to bring in and even kill important and perhaps even innocent people. So, filled with rage, she transferred all of the facility’s information to the quartz crystal attached to her collar, and trashed the place, using the electrical generator as a power booster that ignited the facility's gas chamber and sent the entire facility into flames. Afterwards, she wandered from place to place in a haze for several months until she was contacted by a strange Russian man whilst in New York City. The man turned out to be, Neward Guiseltan, the chairman of the Russain Transgenics Research Facility, who had been secretly in correspondence with the A.T.G.C for years before Cross came into existence. In fact, they were the ones urging them on with their experiments, wanting ultimate soldiers and assassins to pick off certain power-hungry leaders, extremists, and any other people who piss them off. By this time, she was numb to any sense of morality, or even more so, humanity. She figured, humans have morals, but she wasn’t human, so that obviously made her an exception. So she agreed to join Guiseltan in his quest to exterminate a group of "super hero" vigilantes that had been investing the areas around London. In exchange for her services, Guiseltan gave her free acceptance to the University of Cambridge in England, where he was also the Head of the Biology Department. Disguising herself as a normal girl, she took her seat in her first actual classroom, and maintained her spot at the top of her class, and worked as Guiseltan's lab assistant during off hours.

Powers: Because of her recombinant DNA, she posses several animalistic attributes which was intended in order to give her better reflexes, strength, and overall better fitness and abilities; these include: large gray wings for swift flight, retractable claws, carnivorous teeth, nocturnal and avian vision, feline hearing, balance, and reflexes, and lupine smell and running speed. She also retained her prenatal gill slits and elongated tail bone, which are used to breath underwater and for balance, respectively. Her muscles can also generate and control electric currents using the webbed spines along her forearms, calves, and spine that help conduct electricity throughout her body and send out large bolts of lightning as an attack or create an electric barrier in defense. She can also short circuit and control any electrical appliances or devices. Besides flight, this is her main weapon. She also has extensive knowledge of biological processes and has managed to combine both in order to be able to short circuit and even at times control another’s own electrical impulses; paralysis and electrocution are her trademarks.

Personality: Despite the happy-go-lucky and naïve demeanor of her early childhood, she now sees the world as a rather cold and cut-and-dry place, much like logic itself. She’s given up on much of her morality and can be quite stoic at times, not caring whether someone lives or dies, just going through the motions of life. The only true joy she finds is in her laboratory work where she was poke and prod things just as she had been, and in any flight time she can smuggle into her schedule. She’s very quiet, and is often referred to as the “strong, silent type”. She’s a perfectionist and is obsessed with knowing just how things work. She is very critical and shows little tact when speaking to people, unless in a rare, optimistic mood. Though it can be said that this is just a hard outer shell, and the real her is still that cheerful and passionate girl that is now locked far away from the preying world. This is evident due to her occasional “good days” where she can be seen or heard humming happily to herself while working or studying. This is also usually followed by excessive daydreaming. But by the next day, she’s back to normal.
