Okay, I'm doing an English project having to do with dystopian societies. While researching my project, I've come across some startling discoveries: America is becoming just like George Orwell's novel Animal Farm. Here are my reasons behind this statement:
Obama= Napolean
Use of Propaganda: DHS Announcement of returning war veterans being at risk to join "right wing extremist groups". Tea party protesters labelled as "right wing extremists" and therefore terrorists.
Propaganda in Animal Farm: Media manipulation: "Four legs good, two legs bad."
"Four legs good, two legs better."
Media Censorship: Most news channels and website not reporting or severely underreporting Obama's failures. Obama promised not to pass any earmarks. He recently just passed 9,000. The people are not holding him to task.
Animal Farm: The animals not speaking out against Napolean, not holding Napolean to task with the things he promises, as with the majority of the American people with Obama.
Hero Worship in both scenarios. The animals look up to and idolize Napolean, the majority of the American people idolize Barack Obama.
Obama seeks an apologetic approach to improving relations with Iran, there is also talk of lifting sanctions imposed by the Bush administration. Comparable to Napolean forging ties with the enemy humans.
Now, before any closeminded liberals even begin to claim that I don't know what I'm talking about, here are my sources:
