Story(A page on Word)
She was awoken by an alarm blaring in her ears. “Wake up sleepy head!” squealed a little girl.
“Marsha, what are you doing up so early?” Aurora asked sleepily.
“It is almost noon.” The little girl tilted her head. “Did you have a nightmare? You were moving around a lot in your sleep.” The large green eyes met hers.
“Yes sweetheart, I did.” She looked in the mirror by her bed. Oh how she hated that mirror. It only showed her boring self. Just what she needed to start off her day.
She threw her blankets off of her and walked out of her room and down the hall into the bathroom. She took a long cold shower and dried off quickly. School would not be over for a little while more. It had only started at ten o clock. She still had time until she needed to be worried; her third class had not started yet. She sat on her bed and brushed her long black hair. Her black t-shirt was soaked with water. She folded her black hosed legs neatly. What had gotten into her? She had been having the same dream for weeks. What was happening in this dream world of hers?
She wanted to know what this dream meant. What it was trying to tell her and if it was true. It seemed so real. And there was only one person taking. Why? It was a puzzling thing. She threw her head back and groaned. She fell back onto her pillow and tossed her blanket over her head. “Don’t ever wake me up. I want to die in this bed right now, and you cannot stop me.” She said fiercely. It may have been a bit much, too dramatic but she just wanted to be alone.
“Fine then meany head. Humph.” She jumped off of the bad and ran down the steps of the Home screaming and shrieking how much she hated this and that, blah, blah, blah. It really did not matter to her if the little girl had social issues.
She thought over her duties for the day and how she could get out of doing them. She could always say she felt sick. She really did feel a little woozy from the dream. Although not from the sight of blood as much as it was the thought of the dream itself. She was a tough one and has been since she could remember. “Aurora what did you do now, Marsha is all upset.” The director asked.
“I had nothing to do with it.” She said.
The director just shrugged off as one of Marsha’s moods. “Anyways, I have another interview for you. They are here all the way from America. Please don’t mess this up.” She pleaded.
Aurora had a habit of being herself for her interviews with willing families and they would always turn her down. She had no idea why they didn’t want her. She just guessed that they wanted a child they could manipulate. A goody two shoes that they could raise right. Well they weren’t getting that with her. She was a tough dog to teach tricks to. Although sometimes that was not the case. There were some families that would not change her but she did not like them and they did not like her attitude and outlook on life. She was just not one of the good orphans. This was going to be a fun interview.
