A wolf in Sheeps Clothing
Salem padded down the forest. His leg bleeding lighting as he settled down finally. There was no stream nearby but he needed to rest. His leg was throbbing from working it so much and there was nothing he could do to make it better except wait for it to heal."Dumb Tree.....Dumb Girl in tree..." Salem cursed thinking about what had caused his injury,"Damn it all....a Pox it was placed on me Hmm? Some pox from that girl..Had to be..." he continued to mutter to himself watching the shadows from the overhanging branches swaying back and forth peacefully on the calm morning. Closing his eyes and curling up for a much needed rest,Salem sighed heavly his chest rising and falling as he let the sounds of the forest soothe him to sleep.

Something caught the Wolf's attention suddenly. His eyes darting around as the hackles on the back of his neck stood on end.The smell of something dead or close to it. Something that wasn't from the forest. Sitting up from his dreams and looking around the woods looked dark and dead. The leaves were begining to change from the bright crisp green to a dark rust red and orange dying on the branches and falling to the ground like snowflakes. Salem growled loudly,"Who's there!!" He yelled not sure what was causing the forest to act the way it was but wanting to find out.Nothing answered him. The woods were frozen with fear and death.
"Show your Vile self!" Salem growled again, his eyes flicking around the area catching every movement.
"hello...." Something slumped against the trees next to Salem. It's hair was matted and singed to at the tips. The small red headed girl had been crying, Ash washed away by her trees as he stummbled over to the Wolf. She hadn't noticed him yet and must have heard his voice thinking he was human.
"Papo?......Voy?..." she said meekly.

Salem's ears slide back on top of his head. The girl was tiny. Maybe only even five summers old or so. Her red hair framing her face perfectly in a jagged way as she stumbled along crying,"Voy?" she said again, her sapphire eyes a contrast to her flaming hair.Changling quickly and stepping behind a tree Salem chose not to answer as the girl tottled over. He could feel his stomach growling as he smelled the little one sitting down a few paces away to try and clean the soot from her face. The thought hda crossed his mind, He wouldn't Lie. A child like this would be good eatting. She was young and that meant she was still sweet and tender, untainted by the weight of the years. Resting his head against the bark of the tree, his eyes closing shut as he let his head roll back, he couldn't help himself anymore. The Saliva coating his tongue made his voice thicker then usual.
"Who is Voy?" He said softly. His tone like crushed velvet as the leaves continued to fall.
