I went dancing in the rain last night. It was amazing, revitalizing, rejuvenating, heartbreaking and cold. I held my arms out and just spun. The rain poured down upon me as the lighting tore across the sky and the thunder cracked like a whip. I realized we had never done what we said we were going to do in the rain. In a storm like last nights. And even though I was dancing free. I was sobbing too. The tears warm and salty mixed with the cold fresh water of the rain. I wish things had turned out differently.
