Traits, for the Good of us all
A Trait is either what is documented as a Talent or a Flaw in the common tongue. Everyone, it seems, holds on to at least one of these Traits, and most have both a Talent and a Flaw. The major ones have been documented into two major categories: Supernal and Magical.
The Magical Traits have three major divisions: Knack for a spell type, knack for a element/prayer, or knack for a magic type. The most common is oddly enough the second version. Most people with known magical Talents and Flaws gain or loose ability within a single Element or Prayer, as it is one of the easiest Traits to pick up on. Knack for a magic type and knack for a spell type are much rarer, as they require someone to go through rather extensive testing to figure out.
The Supernal Traits have no major divisions. They are all mainly natural physical enhancements of some form or fashion. The more common ones are people who are stronger, faster, or quicker on the ball then there training and build otherwise should be (or vice versa). Rarely, known Traits change how open one is to spells, how quickly one picks up skills, and other more mental type enhancements.
There is a third type, rarely searched for. Usually called "Special Type", they seem to cover both the discovery of Traits, as well as Racial Traits. The Runic Knight/Scribe/Lord [Human], Unconquerable Focus [Elven], Unquenchable Faith [Hobgoblin], and Dowse Advantage traits all land here.
