They looked stunned that I had talked to them like that. You are a fool to think that you can stand against the mighty Ultima. All shall fall into eternal darkness, Rael do not be a reckless rebel join us and be almighty. I laughed at this idiocracy. “First of all get my ******** name right, Arelx if you do not mind. Second I will never join you, I will not be a pawn in Ultima’s game. And thirdly she sent all of you to die at the hand of a pissed off Arcanist.” The brother of fire shot a fireball at me, I easily dodged and waved my finger at him. “Now that’s not very nice.” I waved my hand and a bubble spell was weaved encasing him inside. The other brothers started an onslaught of spells trying to undo my bubble but the other brother was yelling mentally in agony. I had reversed the spell allowing magic to harm the brother but his fire could not escape my trap, the fire was consuming all his oxygen. His eyes rolled in the back of his head and he collapsed in death.
Leaving me only two brothers to deal with, but unfortunately the were the trickiest of the bunch Bolts of lightning and ice came flying by me, I couldn’t even think the flurry of magic was not allowing me to aim my spells properly the ground around the bothers exploded. I jumped over the lightning bolt and sent a beam of scathe that made the brothers move aside. It finally gave me the breath I needed. I landed in front of them and made the ice brother float in the air, the other one panicked and shot a bolt of lightning. I held out my hands and a shield of pure arcana created a dome around me. The lightning hit its mark but just fizzled out because of my shield. I could hear what the brothers were saying. He has reawakened and his powers have returned, we have failed.
With that I made the brother floating come crashing to the ground and I heard a sickening crunch as his legs broke. The stitches holding his mouth closed, ripped apart as he let out a blood curtling scream in pain. I flicked my hand and he fell over in death. That only one more for me to kill before Zach could take on the army. By the power of the Fayth he better be as powerful as I hope. The brother of lightning was screaming at me in his mind as he brought on an onslaught of spells at me. I barely dodged a few of the bolts, one grazed my arm. It hurt like hell but I pressed forward, as I approached my mark I focused my mind on the Death Bringer and with a burst of darkness it appeared, but not as a blade. The long pole emerged and the blade curve and it became a scythe. I took a step to the side and saw the horror on the brother’s face as I swung my weapon and the head of the last brother rolled across the ground.
The Death Bringer disappeared as I stepped away and looked to the army. They looked confused like the didn’t know what to do. Zach jumped off the wall and landed beside me. “It’s my turn now so just sit back and enjoy the show as I give them a lesson on Who’s Who. But I need some light the moon isn’t out tonight.” I smiled as I pushed my hair out of my face, I held up both of my hands over my head as I started an orb of scathe magic. The orb grew until it was taller than me, so I focused on it as it shined very brightly. Zach jumped up high as the army charged, he threw the rampaging thorns card and it hit the ground in from of the soldiers. He landed right in front of the charging troops, the card knows as Frost Bite was glowing with a fierce light. “Eat ice and die.” With that I felt the temperature plummet to below freezing levels and it kept falling. A burst of subzero degree air shot through the ranks as most of the soldiers froze to death, others struggled to breathe, some stood frozen solid. The spell subsided as only half the soldiers were left to fight. Zach smiled as the thorn card began to glow as giant thorns burst from the card, different branches stuck in the soldiers and burst through them easily to their next target, soon thereafter the thorns returned to the card. Zach picked up the card and walked back to me. I stopped the scathe spell and laughed. “I guess you can stay with me, you are quite useful. We need to make sure Ultima knows and hope that Ashe keeps her promise.”
People had lined the streets of Rabanastre and were cheering for me and Zach. We weaved our way to the palace, the door to the throne room was open, Ashe was waiting for me. She smiled and put the Lunar Sphere around my neck. “Thank you Arelx for saving our city, we are eternally in your debt. As well as the sphere we have intelligence for you. Four of the Zodiac are dead, you killed Mateus, Zalera and Andrammalech. Belias was killed my a gunslinger named Clay.” I had to think, I vaguely remember destroying the city of air. But fore some reason the Gunslinger kept flashing through my mind, then it hit me, he was the one on the island with Sheba. I walked to the balcony and whispered in the language of the Advent and I conjured a raven with my power of nightmares and I attacked a note to his leg and told him to fly to Giruvergan and deliver that letter to Ultima. Once the raven was out of sight the Lunar Sphere glowed brightly, my eyes glazed over and I had a vision telling me where to locate the next item. I snapped out of my vision and opened a portal to darkness and beckoned Zach to come with me. We stepped through and all I felt was us falling.
