“People of the Earth aren't known for wasting anything. A little marinating and the right herbs and these two can feed the village for weeks; the bones can be used for countless things as well...”
"Ah, like the Native Americans...very resourceful. It makes sense, living off the earth naturally. Actually sounds like a great way to live to me, I admire that..."
“They make the most of it. Sadly there are very few who still have the proper means of defending themselves, most of our missions will probably involve protecting people of Earth...”
"Don't they make weapons? Bows, spears?"
“Not very effective sadly, only a few tribes still have good defenses.”
"That's kind of sad...”
“It is, but they're hardy people, it's how they've held on for so long.”
Mecuniv nodded. "Well, I'm glad I at least helped save what I could of their village. I suppose they'll rebuild..."
“That they shall...and they'll be well fed.”
"Heh, and I could use a bath after all that..." Mecuniv looked down at her self, covered in blood and dirt, and shrugged casually.
"You’d like a bath now I suppose wouldn't you?"
“Well, it would be nice. I don't know about you, but I don't like the thought of walking around covered in blood..."
"Very well," Shadow began walking into the forest. "Fallow me."
Mecuniv followed behind Master Shadow, wiping her blade down along the way. They came to a large hole in the ground about 5 feet deep. "There we are, an excellent spot…"
"Ah, this is perfect..." Mecuniv removed her equipment and hung it in a nearby tree branch before taking her hair down. The hole began filling with warm water slowly.
"Thank you..." She walked in still clothed and turned back to Shadow. "Something was bugging me, where were you while I was killing the Ogres?"
"Watching your progress and making sure the casualties were limited."
Mecuniv sighed. "Alright..." She dipped beneath the water to get her hair wet. A bar of soap plopped into the water.
Mecuniv picked up the soap. "That must be so convenient, being able to call upon anything you need..."
"It is, but getting everything you want gets boring, so I try to limit myself and get creative."
"I suppose so..." Mecuniv looked away. "I'd...like a little privacy now if you don't mind..."
"Heh, very well." Shadow began walking back towards the village. "Just call for me if I'm needed."
"Sure..." Mecuniv looked around briefly before removing her clothes. She scrubed them off as best as possible first before washing her body. "Ugh, this is terrible...covered in the guts of magical creatures..." She dipped under the water again to rinse herself off. "That Shadow, he's really mysterious...why do I get the feeling he's not telling me something?"
She shrugged it off and got out, wringing her clothes off. "Wish I had a brush..." She put her hair back up and got dressed. She put her equipment back on and walked back the way Shadow went.
"Done?"
Mecuniv nodded. "Yes, thank you."
"Anything else you'd like?"
"I am a bit hungry..." Mecuniv's stomach growled almost in response. "Okay, a lot hungry..."
"Ah perfect, the villagers insist you take part of the feast."
"Oh, um, okay..." Mecuniv smiled. "Guess that means I did a good job huh?"
"Well you did save their lives, and it's a hunters right. We're expected at the circle, fallow…" Shadow walked toward center of the village.
Mecuniv followed behind him. "Um, but what did you think?"
"You did well, none of the villagers were killed while you fought them."
