this one takes place is in the rainforest of Paludia a place inhabited mostly by lizard folk. once a year the tribes hold a intertribal competition as a sign of peace between the tribes, the prize has always been mediocre to prevent any encouragement of cheating. things had been well until Deron became chief of the tribe of blackscales.
Deron rose to chief hood after killing the old chief. he is a half black dragon and makes good use of the power his heritage had given him. during the next competition he demanded that the prizes change. to show his good faith he placed his wife as ante. not to be out done all the fellow lizard folk tribe chiefs placed there wives up for ante. all except the crested lizard folk. there chief had never taken a mate. worrying that his tribe would be disqualified he ordered his hunters to bring him the first woman thay could find. soon Esmeralda the elf maiden was captured and taken to the competition. the crested lizard folk chief claimed that he had exotic tastes in a mate and put Esmeralda up for ante. Deron DID have exotic tastes and upon laying eyes on Esmeralda he knew he had to have her...for dinner!! (its part of bing half dragon)
Esmeralda's father is seeking help from adventures to rescue his daughter.
how will the PCs save Esmeralda? Deron is sure to win the competition using his dragon heritage.
