Adara's, thoughts, stories and rambles.
Who is actually reading these?
"Did you hit him?"
Coming out of a prestigious condo complex that was being built Adara sighed. Looking up she shook her head and waved to the workers, who waved back. It was a tradition before she hopped in her personal 'taxi'. It was a nice Lincoln Town Car thinggy, black with tinted windows so she could have privacy. You would think Adara was a celebrity, she wasn't, she was just a wealthy man's daughter who gave her everything she could ever wanted...that was boughten. Not love, he was always flying around the world for this or that business meeting letting nannies raise the poor child. She didn't hate him, she couldn't. Mom was killed in a hit and run accedent and he didn't have the first clue on little girls, let alone puberty girls. It really was like giving a man that didn't care for dogs a puppy and expected him to be able to take care of it perfectly without mistakes. It just wasn't going to happen.

Fiddling with her colored pencils, as she was enrolled in an exclusive art school, Adara started to color in the back till a kid on the side walk caught her attention. She watched him with a smirk as he ran this way and that through the crowd. Flipping the page she started sketching him till he ran out infront of the car. "WATCHOUT!" slurring the words together before her pencils sailed through the air at the screeching of the tires. "You okay Miss Agate?" Simon, her driver, called out quickly "Yeah...did you hit him?" "Who?" "The boy?" honking from behind "There wasn't any boy..." "Oh....I musta misjudge where he ran" Simon chuckled "Its okay I do that alot with some people" and took off letting her pick her pencils up, handing the few that blapped him in the back of the head back to her.

When they got to the large old building he parked and turned around "Miss Agate? Why do you...Do you even like going here?" She smiled "Of course Simon, 1. its the most stable thing I got in my life right now besides you. I'm always moving, always getting new nannies...You two are the only things I can really count on." winking at him. "And 2. Well, I can really be creative here, music, art, drama being pushed more so then math, English and science? Sign me up baby." They laughed. "Besides. I have friends here. They may disappear over time they may not be true but they are friends for right now." Kissing his cheek she got out and went to the building turning around and walking backwards to call out at him. "Besides! What other school can I write or draw raunchy crap and get away with it calling it art when its really hormones!" they laughed harder as she waved, turned and ran it.

The building was ginormous! It was six stories with four sub stories for film, and the darker arts, the kinkier arts. It was a well rounded school, to say the least. She went up to her locker only to get jumped by her friends. They laughed and flirted with the older guys knowing fully well they were out of their leagues. Come on, seniors with freshmen? Preposterous! Heading off to lunch a sophomore came up to her, it was Danny, her best drama bud. "Dude! You made the grade!" "huh?" "Your on the short list of directors!!!" "NO WAY!" They ran off and he showed her the list of possible directors for the year play, which were 5 names, and smack in the middle of the four senior males was this lowly little freshman girl. "If you get that honor, Adara, I wanna be in the play!" she smirked and laughed "I dunno what's in it for me?" "I'll take you to the dance tomorrow." "Deal!" they laughed and ran off to tell the others. There was a big celebration at lunch over it.

At the end of the day she snuck off to the bathroom and pulled out a couple boxes, hair dye. Red. BRIGHT red, the color you see on a fire hydrant or truck. "It'll never show up in my black hair...but worth a try..." A huge mess later Adara was drying her hair nude in the locked bathroom. Turning around her eyes bugged out as it was neon red. "What in the hell! This isn't a shadow of red...!" Mortified as she looked down at the 'someone so got slaughtered' sink, and she knew it was going to be her if they caught her. "s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t!!!" she got dressed and unlocked the door, walking out trying not to call any attention to herself, more so then the color was doing. Thank the gods it was late and no one was there.

"HEY! YOU! LITTLE GIRL!!!! STOP RIGHT THERE!" Adara turned quickly, her hair looked like it was fire as it embered around her. She saw the custodian "I'm really sorry bout the bathroom...." holding up her hands then turned bolting like a frightened deer. "GET BACK HERE I GOTTA TALK TO YOU!" She was running like a mad woman only to almost smack into the guy around a corner. "Maybe this will get your attention." as she looked at his face it started to melt and dribble down. Letting out an earth shattering scream Adara turned and ran again into a room. Running over to the window she looked down only to remember she was on the 6th floor of the grotesquely tall building that probably should have been 12 stories counting the vaulted ceilings. Ripping at the windows she tried to get it open. Death was better then this s**t any day! "Adara?" Turning quickly it was the principal, vice principal, 3 male councilors and the custodian, still melting. Screaming "NO NO NO KEEP HIM AWAY!" she turned and ripped harder at the window only to have the councilor rush, tackle her and restrain her. "Now girl listen to me, I need your help." The custodian came closer, putting his face in hers which only made her freak out harder and fight more. It wasn't till the EMTs came to tranquilize her that she calmed down.

Waking in the hospital groggily she saw a nurse then was gone. Opening her eyes again she saw her dad who was in Amsterdam then was gone. Opening her eyes yet again there he was sitting by her looking like crap. "Daddy?" "Shhh I'm here....Rest..." and she was gone. This happened several times before she fully awoke hearing her father and her aunt arguing, again. Her aunt hated her father for Adara's living conditions and that he didn't just sign over his rights to her. As much as Adara loved her aunt, she was glad he didn't. It would have been the same thing and she would have had to deal with her family not her nanny, that she actually liked. "Shut up, your giving me a headache..." the aunt came over and cooed on her. Oh yes, there was that too, her auntie treated her like a two year old. Wincing and moving away from her doctor she held out her hand for her father who stiffly came over, still not noticing the bright hair. "Darling you hungry?" He asked, with a nod he left to get her food. She wished she didn't send him away because while he was gone her aunt dropped the biggest bomb of her life, other then her mother passing away. "Adara, because of their d....no tolerance rule." Her aunt huffed loudly. Okay she was a good pitbull that protected Adara alot "You can't go back right away. You have to go to a home for a few weeks to make sure your fine." Adara was pushing that morphine button feverishly to run away from that thought.

Four days later she was standing infront of an old farm house with a wrap around porch and swing. It looked like something out of those movies that Adara hated, the ones where the girl runs to her family, her roots to get away and then leaves them for something else, hurting them worse then before. Rude, it was all so rude! Now she felt like a crazy, especially with the two nurses that came out. A fat grandma like one named Miss Anderson, how original she thought, and a skinny hard faced one Miss Von Keeps, again very original. "Life's going to suck for a while" Quietly only to get elbowed by her aunt and snickered by her dad, who still hasn't noticed the red hair.
