Whenever the alarm clock wakes me up
Wherever my alarm clock sits today
Because of it I wake up
Before I can get dressed
After I click snooze, I wake up
Even though I take a shower
As if my mind is still asleep
So that it makes me wake up
Though I wish to crawl back to bed like a slug
Where I can dream away freely
In order to escape reality
Provided that I don’t wake up
Wherever my alarm clock sits today
Because of it I wake up
Before I can get dressed
After I click snooze, I wake up
Even though I take a shower
As if my mind is still asleep
So that it makes me wake up
Though I wish to crawl back to bed like a slug
Where I can dream away freely
In order to escape reality
Provided that I don’t wake up
