As some of you know, I am currently working on churning out a musical play by the name of Musical. In said show, the main character, Henry Harper (who has but one friend, works in Ohio as an accountant's assistant, and feels his life is a rut overall) learns that the reason it seems the exact same events happen every day (and why he has the eerie feeling people are watching him) is because it's true! Rather than being an actual person, Henry finds out that he is actually a character in a musical!
I have written two of the songs so far, and I'd like to keep one private as it's currently in progress, here are the lyrics and book of The Truth About Love. The music has been written for the most part, but it is in progress still. . . .

ACT II, SCENE I.
[ Curtains open to a very dark, very blank stage. A dim spotlight lights center-stage, where Henry Harper is recalling the events of last night wistfully to the only one he has left in the world-- Matty, his best (and only) friend. He is wistful, a tear in his eye. ]
Henry.
The whole thing was goin' great...
Happy smiles pushed by fate...
Like every sappy movie that you've seen--
Those were laughing days...
But she threw it all away...
With four words
Now echoing
On every wall
And
In
Between...
You're...
Not... My...
TYPE!
[ His sadness suddenly turns to bitterness. He sings in a rage. ]
We were on a beach, looking out to sea,
Where the films have credits ro-oll!
I produced a ring
Ten carots, maybe more!
She just WALKED RIGHT OUT THE DOOR!!
I've had it for love! It's just a fairy-tale,
Leaves you stranded alone in the belly of a whale!!
Matty. [ Lines of concern crease his face. ]
Henry, you're looking [x] pale!
Henry. [ at "x" ]
Don't give me concern!
I don't need your care!
This just proves a point, even
FICTION ISN'T FAIR!
[ The lights blare on, somewhat red and uneven. Henry runs round the stage in hysteria. ]
LOVE! Biting acid on my tongue!
My mouth has just been stung, 'cause
LOVE! Is just another haunting ghost, HE
TEASES ALL THE OTHERS, BUT HE
LAUGHS AT ME THE MOST!
Tick-Tick-Tick-Oh
Where's-Love-Now-If
It-Ex-Ists-Oh
Show-Me-How!
I've heard people say, 'Be careful what you wish!'-- LIES!
You shouldn't wish it all
Just another hundred tears in your--
Never again will my head be in the clouds!
Proclaim it NOW! Pro-CLAIM IT LOUD!
They say there's many fish in the se-ea...
But someone's stranded in the Sahara, and that someone!?
IS ME!!
LOVE!! BITING ACID ON MY TONGUE
MY MOUTH HAS JUST BEEN STUNG
'CA-AUSE
LOVE! JUST ANOTHER
HAUN-TING-GHOST
WHO LAUGHS AT ALL THE OTHERS BUT
TICK-TICK-TICK-OH
WHERE'S-LOVE-NOW-IF
LOVE-EX-ISTS--
TICK-TICK-TICK-OH
WHERE'S-LOVE-NOW-IF
IT-EX-STS--
AND THAT'S THE TRU-UTH!
THE GOSPEL TRU-UTH!!
[ By now, he is in a rage, storming across the stage in a fit of uncontrollable anger. A wild instinct blackens his eyes.
Now, tense and gasping for breath, he sees Matty, his only friend, wide-eyed, staring in horrored shock from a hiding place. Slowly, Henry falls limp onto the ground, sobbing. He now has lost not only his job and his love, but his only friend. A moment passes. ]
Cross... My...
[ Bitingly, he looks up again at Matty. ]
HEART!!!
[ Slow blackout on the scene. ]
