This was a funny tangeant a bunch of us in the PAF went on a few nights ago--I just wanted to record it here for posterity. mrgreen I am sure we will see something similar to this down the road one day--I can guarantee it. twisted
Snaptastic I can see the headlines now. " Gaia determined to be more addicting than cocaine--teenagers caught pawning parent's jewelry to pay for OMG." Then come the ads..." Harry Potter books--my anti-Gaia." Then we'll even open up a few rehab centers for Gaia addicts...or we could start a Gaia religious cult (similar to scientology--we'll say their souls live on forever in their avatar that will be able to wander on Gaia, we'll call it " Gaia Afterlife Alpha version .666) and start pulling in the cash from crazed believers.
Horrible Person Haha, I can see it now... Hallmark movies made from books written by family members in Gaia-ravaged households... Police visiting schools and giving slideshows of before and after shots of users to show the devastating effects of Gaia-addiction. Normal kids college students turned into drooling idiots living in boxes that are equipped with uber-tastic computers, from which random shouts of "Damn that Gaia lag!!" and "God, I can't change my clothes!!" can be heard. Tis a modern tragedy. crying
Gouku And let's not forget the dealers hanging out in a dark alley wearing a trenchcoat saying things like "psst... Hey kid, you looking for sealeds? I've got some right here for a good price. Vials too." and then the TV confessions with people with pixelated faces going "Yeah, I did Gaia in the '00s... It was really trippy, especially when I chatterboxed. Sometimes I would drive right after Gaiaing, and I would constantly imagine flying pink giftboxes as I drove along. Sometimes I was afraid that i'd be pulled over by the cops... and then they'd find out I had a Username, or that they would see the real life OMG in my back seat. It was scary, but then I would always head home and fish and play the slots as I went through towns. It was a vicious cycle."
As for why I haven't been Q&A-ing much lately...it's simple...I'm tired of it at the moment. There's only so much information regurgitation a person can do for several hours a day and stand it (I think I've been doing it for at least 3-5 hours a day for 10 months+, I think I went for a good while). No worries, I'm just bebopping around Gaia and will come back when I regain my marbles...or at least a few of them. domokun
