-10 YEARS AGO: Age 6-

During lunch time in school, the four friends are in the yard of the school. A young, energetic girl grabs her friend's hand and pulls her away from the two guys to talk. "Don't follow!" she ordered. They sat by a tree for a while, not knowing that one of the boys were nearby. The girl that dragged her friend away looked at her with a serious face and said, "Mizu-chan, I'm moving."
Mizuki looked at her in disbelief, then smiled. "Are you joking again, Miya-chan?" She asked.
Miyako shook her head sadly. "I wish I was, but my father's company transferred him to England. Momma wants to follow, so I have to go with her." She explained. There was a pause between the girls. Miyako looked at Mizuki, who seemed about to say something. "...But I promise!" She exclaimed before Mizuki could speak. "I'll come back when I can!"
Mizuki looked at her for a moment. "...I see. I understand." She said, giving a smile. "There's no need to make such a promise."
Miyako looks at her sadly. She was expecting her to whine and ask her why she was going and why she couldn't just stay with her. "I see..." She said, hiding her disappointment, "But I still promise it. I will be back, so don't forget me, okay?" She asked, hugging her friend. Mizuki nods as she hugs her back. "...I promise." She said. After a minute or two, they released each other and walked back to the guys to play as if nothing had happened.

AFTERSCHOOL

The four kids are walking home together since they all go in the same direction to their homes from school. First one to say good bye to them was Mizuki. She grinned at her friends and waved bye. "Have a safe trip, Miya-chan!" She said, before going inside. The boys looked confused. The three continued on down the road.
"What did she mean by that?" asked the boy that was clueless.
"Shin-kun.. Take-kun.. always stay by her side." She said, going towards her house. "Bye!" She said before going inside.
They continued on down, Takeshi was explaining what he overheard earlier. Then they separated.
Shinobu was worried about Mizuki, so he turned around and went straight for her house. He made it to her backyard and climbed a tree to peek inside the window that was Mizuki's bedroom and saw her on the bed, crying. He frowned, watching over her and feeling helpless. It wasn't until he heard an "Ahem" that he looked away and saw Mizuki's older sister. She gave a soft smile. "Hey squirt. What are you doing up there, peeking in on my little sister?" she asked. Shinobu climbed down the tree, bashful. "Gomenasai*.. I won't do that again." And at that, he ran off to go home before she could say anything.
Meanwhile, Takeshi had also turned around to go see what Miyako was doing. He knew that she was a lone child, so he didn't have to worry about anyone catching him. He knew her parents aren't often outside either, so he watched Miyako in silence from outside. Miyako was quietly packing. Once in a while when she turned, her face was sad, evidently tearful.
