He awoke all alone with bright lights in his eyes. He tried to move but discovered he was tied down. He was in pain, and yet numb. He tried to call out for help but discovered he couldn't. His head was a daze. He knew there was no choice, he must escape! With one quick flex of the arms the bands which had tied him to the table snapped off. Suddenly the room seemed to come alive. Sudedenly three nurses were there trying to hold him down as they jammed a needle into his side. He struggled, but soon his eyes grew heavy and he slumped back into sleep.
He awoke again, this time calmer than before. His arms tied down with heavier straps than before. His eyes slowly ajusted to the light in the room. He say his family standing there, his dad, his mom, his 2 little sisters, age 14 and 19, and his little brother, age 12. He himself was only 22, but he now remembered where he was and what had happened. The reason he could not speak was because he had a tube down his throat, supplying him with oxygen, multiple tubes coming out of his arms and side. He tried once again to move his legs, but couldn't. He still refused ti believe the fact that the paralisis was permanent. His dad couldn't even look at him. His eyes swekked with tears as he gazed blankly at the ground. Then suddenly he felt his son, in all the hell he was going through, squeeze his hind. The soon looked his father in the eyes, and both knew that no matter the outcome, things were going to be ok. Life would go on. Even though they way they would be accomplished would be changed, the goals would not be.
