reserch part 1
I've been doing some more research for Heiderich back story and subsequently the post movie fanfics.. I'd already done some to get inside his head with tuberculosis and whatnot. I’m infamous for being able to memorize every single tiny little detail about the things that interest me, not to mention entire paragraphs of dialogue. So knowledge of the movie and even Heiderich’s lines didn’t take any work. The treaty of Versailles and it's consequences were well known to me, but the historical aspects of the movie and the Weimar republic took some research. Anyhow I know that now, but historical events after the movie and whatnot will take more work. Do you have any clue how difficult it is to find a decent amount of good info on the Weimar republics golden years?!? Ergghhh! it's driving me up the wall! And that’s just the big attention getting stuff! Everyday life is going to drive me absolutely crazy! But I’ll do it anyway… I wont wait till someone else gets the bright idea collect a decent amount of it somewhere, Nooooo I'll be hounding the web for every obscure little detail. I never learn >.>
Anyhow... today we went to the library and since I’m sick of looking up random bits of trivia and not having any real understanding you can guess what the books I got were on. Yup that's right, Rockets. From what I’ve read so far it's really quite fascinating. and then I started thinking maybe if I understood this stuff better I’d be able to come up with an idea to help… I'm telling you getting too far into character’s heads is dangerous! I'm already enough like Ed in real but when I started writing him all the sudden people remarking even affectionately, as in pet names, on my height got me mad... I started writing Al and poof! all the sudden I have a thing for kitty... Now I’m writing Heiderich and suddenly I find my self interested in rocketry and daydreaming about how I could better the cause of space flight… this is insane. I’m terrified of outer space and now all the sudden I’m daydreaming about it? What the hell!? If I start coughing up blood anytime soon let me know...
