Guess what? A poem of mine won 2nd place in an all country contest!! my mom anted me to enter it so i did and i thought that the ninth graders that entered would kick my butt, but they didn't!!
Here's the poem!
I am a rose
I am a rose
With prickly thorns
I am small
But I am deadly
I am addictive and beautiful
I kill thousands each day
While you feel relief and happiness
I damage your body
From the inside out
I am an assassin
A fearless killer
I tear families apart
I take away your loved ones and your friends
I have no emotion, mercy, or kindness
I am an animal
My victims are either young or old
But I don’t care
‘Cause in this world
It’s all free gain
I am death
With every breath you take in of me
More of your life fades away
I use your stupidity to hurt you
But if you survive my deadly attacks
I am still satisfied
‘Cause you’re still barely holding on
You’re still going to die a painful death
I am a beautiful lie
On the outside
I seem harmless
But on the inside
I am deadly
I have so many toxins
All of them harmful
And even deadly
I cause disease and cancer
Your pain is my happiness
I am a rose
I am an assassin
I am an animal
I am a beautiful lie
I am merciless
I am cigarettes
