I read your words with knives in my heart
If what you said is true, you tore me apart.
You told me you loved me, that you'd never leave
But today, those words were tears on my sleeve.
It's too much pain to be real, too many tears,
You don't love me, that's one of my biggest fears.

I wish you could see, how much pain this causes me.
I don't want you to leave. I want to go back to how it used to be.
You probably hate me, or don't want me to love you,
But you should know that no matter what, I do.
I love you so much, more than words can explain.
And these tears should show how much I'm in pain.

The words tear me up, "enjoy the rest of your life"
It stabs deeper and more painfully than any knife.
"I love you", "I don't want you to go", "Please stay!"
No matter how much I beg, the same thing you say.
I can't live without you, and I'm when I'm gone,
You'll find the hard way that it ended all wrong.
