Mechacon.

I'd been waiting all year for this to come around again.

I spent ages completing my Roxas cosplay,
And then I spent some more ages to start and complete my Pichu costume.

I was so excited the night before, I barely got any sleep.

I had my suitcase packed the night before,
Because I wasn't just spending the weekend away.
Afterwards, Rhamah and her mom were coming up to pick me up,
And take me down to Florida for a week.

First off, Mechacon;

Friday was cool, I didn't have to wait in line because I had pre-registered a while ago in advance.
Feeling ontop of the world, I carried my huge keyblade around with me, and felt bad my hair wasn't spiky, because we couldn't get into our hotel room just yet.
The stupid people hadn't fixed it up yet.

Oh, and did I mention..?
We got bumped up.
I had originally booked a Queen-sized room;
Two queen-sized beds, Mechacon price of $92 a night.
It was a pretty sweet deal,

Until they told us they overbooked.

They then gave us a King room, with a huge TV, pull-out couch-bed, and a big bathroom. :]
And they took off about $20 from the price, for the "inconvenience".
I freaking love Fairfield. xD

So, anyway,
We went in on Friday morning, and I couldn't bring my camera because my pants that Ida had made last year didn't have pockets.
No biggie, though, seeing as how I was too busy having fun to take any pictures anyhow. xD

I met this girl named Leah, another Roxas by the name of Jared [Curlz], and this girl Marissa and her girlfriend Ruth, who all were friends to begin with.

My Roxas and I had a play fight in the middle of the hallway, and it was an epic failure, that ended in loud laughter and silly antics. :]

The entire day I spent running around with Leah and Roxas, meeting up with Marissa and Ruth at random. &&

And once the ball began, it was getting around 8-9pm, and we met this guy Luke, who was a really great singer. :B We all began singing Repo!, Rent, and even some Disney songs! xD

I left at about midnight or so with Lance, after Garrett had apparently gotten a headache and gone back to the hotel.

The next day, I was a pichu.
And oh. Em.Gee. You have no idea how many Pokemon nerds were there.

The first thing after I stepped into the lobby of the Hilton, a stranger put his arm around me shoulders and said "Hey, Pichu."
I was like, "Ohheythur!"
And then I realized what he was wearing.
He had on a black t-shirt, with a big red "R" on the chest.
That's right.
He was a Team Rocket Grunt.
I screamed and Garrett pulled me away, putting the Pokeball I had brought for him against me, claiming that I was his, and that I could not be stolen. I laughed, he laughed, the Grunt laughed.

Garrett and I decided to wait in line for the Dealer's room that morning, and we were recorded as we played with bubbles that my Axel and Marluxia had been blowing!
It was incredible fun. :]

We left the dealer's room, and walked around aimlessly, when Amy and her boyfriend finally showed up. We hung out a few times, [[she was dressed as a Pikachu]], and we narrowly escaped capture several times.

Until this little kid saw me, and demanded I go into his Pokeball. I ignored him and we moved on, until he saw me again.
And he ran after me.
I dodged and ran away, but he eventually caught me.
I quickly called for help by Team Rocket, but they weren't around!
It was hilarious, as all these people wanted pictures of the kid trainer and his newly caught Pichu! xD

Anyhow, he eventually let me go, and I ran into that same Rocket Grunt from before.
After meeting him several times in the hallway, I finally got the nerve to ask him for his phone number. I texted him a few times during the day, and we became friends quickly. :]

He invited me up to the 6th floor with his other Rocket grunt friends, and Leah and I decided to join him.

The day before, I had met this guy that I had met on Gaia a few days before. He was saying he was having a birthday, and I thought I would go and celebrate with him. He came down and met all the friends I had made, and he told us about the time and location of his party.

anyway, back to the story.

So, Leah and I went up to the 6th floor with Roxas, and then back down, and then we ran around a lot.

Around 6 or so, Greg [[the guy who was having the birthday party]] called me and asked if I could get a few people together and help him carry his 6 pizzas back to his hotel room.
I stood in front of all the Rockets and their friends, and asked if anyone was interested.
Several stood, and we all left down for the lobby, as I called Greg back and told him the good news.
We all walked over to him, and we waited for a few minutes as the pizzas were prepared.

Sure enough, there was Amy, eating with her boyfriend and Megan. We met up, and they headed back to his house, and we hugged goodbye.

Anyway.
After they left, we waited a few more minutes, and the pizzas were done.

Now, there's one thing I have to make clear.
The Rocket Grunt that had come up to me earlier, and who I asked for his number,
Looks just. Like. Wyatt.
I had talked to Amy about it earlier, and she agreed whole-heartedly.
And because of this, she understood my plight.

So we walked back to the hotel with Greg, the Grunts, Leah, me, and a few others with the pizzas.
On the way back, James-- the Rocket Grunt/Wyatt look-a-like, and I talked.
We told each other our life stories, and it was really, really neat.

Maybe it was because he looked like Wyatt, and that made me so happy to see him,
Or maybe it was because he was really cute and really nice to me,
But I liked him for that while.

Once we got back to the hotel, I spent more time with Leah again.
We all piled into Greg's room, and we drank cokes and sprites.. And he had some alcoholic drinks there, too, because Greg was turning 21 that night.

We all sang him happy birthday, and ate the pizzas..
When Leah showed me she was drinking some Champagne.
She offered me some, and she was like "it could use something, don'tcha think?" And I was like "omgtrycoke. :D"
And we did. She poured some coke into it, and we drank it down.

On our way back, we had met up with another couple friends of James and his friends-- one in particular was Sebastian.
Another really cute guy.
He grabbed onto me, and he claimed me as his Pokemon for a while.

I went with it, because James had gone off somewhere to party some more.
Sebastian and I went around a bit, and came back up to the room.
Leah and I then decided to talk alone outside, so we sat down in the hallway, with another plastic cup filled with Coke/champagne. We sipped it down and talked,
I told her about my situation, and she complained that Lance was really getting too clingy on her.

It was nice, being able to open up with someone about all of it, without feeling any kind of coldness in response.
I was beginning to get sick of that.

anyway, we talked for a while, and eventually got bored, so we left the area and went downstairs.
..Which is where I saw David.

You remember David?
From Mechacon last year?

My heart nearly stopped.
He looked just as good as he did last year.
Tall, dark, and handsome.
I wanted to ask him if he remembered me, but..
I was far too scared.

later on in the night, however, when the rave was ending, I decided to go up to him.
I finally had him sort of alone, and I asked him what his number was.
He gave it to me, and told me it's his house number, because he doesn't have a cell phone.
I felt so stupid for asking, and quickly left with Lance back for the hotel room.

The third day came around, and I decided to wear the red Edgeworth shirt that said "iObject" on it that Garrett got me the day before.
I got a text from Leah, asking "red or yellow?" and I told her red, and when I got there, she surprised me with a pair of red goggles, just like I wanted.

On Saturday night, though, this girl I had met, Elaina, asked me if I was bi. I cleared the air with her, and she squealed and ran off for a minute.
She came back a little while later, and this guy came up to me and asked if I was single. I told him that I was technically with someone, and he looked sad and said "oh, okay." and walked off.

I felt bad, so on Sunday I went up to him and asked him for his number.

I was horribly awkward, because I had hunted him down till I found him and asked him for it.
He looked at me like I was retarded or something, and gave it to me. A few minutes later, I thought I'd call it to make sure it was a real number.
And it rang, and rang, and no one answered. I quickly shut my phone, thinking that I'd just been duped. I sulked up the stairs and met up with the Rockets and Leah on the 6th floor. Turns out, that's where that guy's hotel room was, because he stepped out of the elevator, and I was shocked, and he was shocked, and he sat down with us, and we all talked for a few hours.

I'm sure Mechacon next year will be even better. <3
Next year, it's being held in New Orleans!
