Stupid-no-Jutsu : The art of being stupid.
Finally released in a totally unabridged format.
Adventures in Solvang and the rest of central California.

This is coming from someone with serious attachment issues.

Its not about how many people you meet in life, its about how many of those people actually matter. Life is not based on a ******** Pokemon game in which you "gotta catch 'em all". It should be going out there and meeting those who you can actually trust to some degree. Maybe it's just me, but I like having a smaller number as opposed to a huge one. Its not quantity, but quality. *rolls eyes*

----------

Its funny how a road trip can bond people on a whole new level. Even though I've known these people for a while now, I feel like I know them a little more. They're all good people, and hopefully I can count on them someday when I really need it. Enough of the sentimental crap, and on to the details.

Tiffany work me up around 7:45 yesterday morning telling me "get dressed, we're going to be there in 15-30 minutes". After that call, I proceeded to showering, brushing teeth and getting dressed in record time.

We left around 9:00AM.

Once we got to Andrea's house I gave everyone their gifts. (not Andrea since I didn't think she was coming. =/ ) Tiffany was happy with her gifts, so was Jen, and Jason was pretty much "wtf mate" then went "sweet". Then we zoomed off into the great unknown.

We drove about two and a half hours straight to Solvang. On the way Jen and I took pictures of random street names, cars and scenery. Though we did stop for about 30 seconds in the slums of L.A so I could get my camera out of the trunk. It was right next to this graveyard that we definately plan on visiting sometime soon. Once we got out of L.A county everything was beautiful. The sky was as blue as it was in North Carolina, the beautiful desert landscape was teh sex, and even the street signs got progressively weirder.

We missed our offramp to get onto the 101 highway, only Andrea saw it and didn't say something until five miles later. The 101 I think is one if the nicer highways, especially how it goes along many canyons and forests (or was that the 154, or even 192) But after hours of sitting on a**, we finally made it to Solvang.

Everyone thought Solvang was a Dutch community, it took me a few minutes to figure out it was Danish. The buildings and windmills would lead someone to think it was Dutch, but it wasn't. We wandered around aimlessly looking for parking and a place to eat. Tiffany kept telling us about a nice steak house, but they were closed at the time, so we ended up eating at "The Little Mermaid". The food was good, and Tiffany finally learned out to chew there as well. XD After eating, we found our way to a bookstore in which Jason and Andrea found some old books for cheap. Jen and I went to this candle shop where I bought insence and she got some nice votive candles. The rest of the group made it to the candle shop later on, and then we ran to a bakery to get some food.

After teh bakery, we decided that we wanted to go to San Francisco. We left Solvang and proceeded to SF, but then realized it was too far and Andrea had to be home by 10:00. (Which was lame on many levels. ;____; ) On the way back we played random road games such as "how many drivers can you get to wave at you before we reach North L.A." Tiffany and I won with 13, plus a semi honking his horn.

Andrea had to use the restroom just as we hit uber traffic, so we had to take an exit on the edge of L.A and find a gas station. I'm surprised that Jason's car wasn't destroyed by the stupidity of drivers in that area. But we made it out, I think some gang member wanted to kill me, I accidently looked at him. XD

Around 8:00 we made it back to Tustin and dropped everyone off. I zombied my way home and sat in my computer chair until I nearly passed out an hour later.

Pictures will be coming soon. I need to downsize them so photobucket doesn't die.

Doesn't Photobucket automatically downsize them if they're too big? And then it gives you the option to downsize more if you so choose?
