Kaoru was checking he had everything. ‘Hikaru’s wallet, check. Hikaru’s jacket, check. Hikaru’s cell phone, check.’ Kaoru thought as he made sure everything he had was where it should be. The dark gray jacket was folded over his arm; the wallet and the cell phone were in the jean pockets. Hikaru then came out of the living room to say goodbye to his brother. Kaoru looked up to see Hikaru walking his way, he smiled. “Well I’m off. I’m going a little bit early so I can pick her up some flowers.” He told Hikaru. Hikaru nodded then gave his brother a hug, Kaoru hugged back. “If you mess this up… I swear you will be bald the next time you wake up.” Hikaru jokingly threat his brother. Kaoru laughed and nodded. “Bye.” Hikaru added. “Bye, Kaoru.” Kaoru replied jokingly.
Yumi was waiting in her bedroom for ‘Hikaru’ to arrive. She was so happy; Yumi hoped Sousuke wouldn’t scare him, with some weird threat. Sousuke was in the living room, waiting for Yumi’s date to arrive. He was wondering why the time had to be at 7 PM. ‘This is way too late for a first date. Hopefully he is not planning on getting his little friend to come along to eye my sister… if he does, will there be BIG trouble.’ Sousuke thought as he stretched out on the couch. Knock, Knock, Knock. Kaoru was outside the Suzumaki household with the flowers behind his back, he waited. Yumi shot up and ran to the living room. “I’ll get it!” She yelled at her brother once she saw him getting up; he sighed and sat back down. Yumi opened the door and smile. “Hey Hikaru.” She blushed. Kaoru smiled at her, “Hey Yumi.” He replied and pulled out the bouquet of daises. “These are for you.” He added with a smirk. Her face lit up, her blue eyes glimmered. “Hikaru, there beautiful. Let me go put them in a vase… please, come in.” She smiled and went back into the apartment. Kaoru came in and saw Yumi’s brother, sitting on the couch… glaring at him. Kaoru swallowed hard, he stood at the door. Yumi looked back and saw ‘Hikaru’ being stared down by her brother. “You can sit down; Sousuke is all bark and no bite.” Yumi smiled at him, and then went into the kitchen.
Kaoru sat down in the chair farthest from Sousuke. “So… you like my little sister, eh?” Sousuke smiled, devilishly. His menacing blue eyes seemed to go deep into your soul. Kaoru sunk in his chair. “Yeah… Yumi is a wonderful person. I really like her and promise to protect her from anything.” Kaoru said, not breaking eye contact. Sousuke nodded slowly and leaned back into the couch. “Oh. What are you planning on doing with Yumi tonight, Hi-ka-ru?” Sousuke asked putting his hands on the back of his head. “I am planning on taking her to a movie, and if she wants I can get her some ice-cream afterwards…” He replied, biting his lower lip. “Hn.” Sousuke said, examining him. ‘This guy must be rich, he has really nice clothes.’ He thought seeing the brand image on the sylph of the jacket. Then he looked down at his shoes which were also a very expensive brand. “Are those knock off shoes? There really nice.” Sousuke asked, still looking at Kaoru’s shoes. “Oh these? No… I never get knock offs.” Kaoru replied. “That’s good…” Sousuke mumbled. Yumi then came into the room. “Okay, you ready Hikaru?” She asked. Kaoru quickly got up, and nodded. “Yeah…” He said and glanced over at Sousuke. Yumi smiled, and went to her brother giving him a kiss on the forehead. “Bye Sousuke. See you later.” She told him then went back over to Kaoru. “Have fun you two.” He waved. Yumi and Kaoru exited the apartment. He grabbed her hand and walked with Yumi to the curve. She blushed, the moment he touched her hand, and then smiled. “You look great tonight, Yumi.” Kaoru told her with a big grin. “Thanks, you do too.” She complimented him back.
Kaoru saw a taxi in the distance coming there way, he put his other hand up that wasn’t holding Yumi’s. The taxi cap driver pulled over, Kaoru opened that door for Yumi; she got in. He then went to the other side of the cab and got in next to Yumi. “Where too?” The cab driver asked them, chewing on the end of a cigarette. “To the Sakura cinemas.” Kaoru smiled, and then wrapped his arm around Yumi. She giggled. “So, what movie are we going to go see?” She asked with a smile. Kaoru looked and her, and then smiled back. “I was thinking of seeing, ‘Something about Mary’, that looks really funny.” He chuckled. “Good pick, I really want to see that too.” Yumi replied to him. He nodded and then looked out the window, still holding on to Yumi.
