Goth (a crude shortening of the word Gothic or Gothica) is a stereotype nowadays whereas in the old days it represented something having to do with an era of art.
People using the word in a false context are merely demonstrating a level of ineptitude that borders on the imbecilic whilst shining light on their foolish desire to lump people into groups based on a man-made social Hierarchy.

Vlad "The Impaler" Dracula III was a 1400's Wallachian (Romanian) Prince.

At age 17 he was already leading a reign of terror across his country in an effort to become the all-powerful, indisputable leader of his land. He would lead armies of men out to do battle against innocent villagers and enemies alike, indiscriminately.

He got his famous nickname because as a method of intimidation he would impale his enemies and display their bodies about his castle as well as in battle fields where many lay slain--many of these cadavers being nothing but innocent people who'd gotten in the way.

He was also a so-called 'Vampire' who drank the blood of the fallen enemies as a way of showing that they fed him and that they were unimportant. As devouring the blood and flesh of a human was considered and extreme taboo, he sought to produce the image of himself that he was above all and so could indulge in such atrocities without consequence.

He died in 1476 when he was assasinated after he had won over the Hungarians and partook of a place on the throne in the months prior to his death.

He was the alleged muse for Bram Stokers 1897 novel Dracula.
