NFL predictions: WEEK 2
i love football. i'm sorry, i'm a guy and real men love watching football and law and order: svu
in order to spice up my mundane school year which is filled with the hammering of various ap subjects into my brain, i figured there's no better way than to predict the outcomes of football games! now i realize i already missed the first week, (although my predictions came out to be 13-3), so we'll start from week 2 of the nfl season. feel free to give your input of each game/week :]

ps: i will break down any picks which i feel like i must justify. they will be marked with an asterisk

NFL PREDICTIONS: WEEK TWO

CIN @ GB -- my pick: GB

HOU @ TEN -- my pick: TEN

OAK @ KAN -- my pick: KAN*
-this one is difficult. the raiders played a good game against the chargers last week, and it seems as if they might finally prevail in their second game of the season. however, kansas city put up a fight against the very talented ravens and the raiders scored by luck. i'm going with the chiefs on this one.

CAR @ ATL -- my pick: ATL

MIN @ DET -- my pick: MIN

NWE @ NYJ -- my pick: NYJ*
-yes, tom brady has the hottest wife in the entire league. not to mention he holds the record for the most TDs in a season. unfortunately for him and the patriots, the jets are poised to be the upsets in this game. the jets have an O-line that is ready to whoop a**, and mark sanchez looked promising in his debut. this will definitely be a battle of the trenches, and the jets will take down the aging patriots

NOR @ PHI -- my pick: NOR*
-McNabb is out. Kolb is in. the chances of the eagles winning? very slim. look for drew brees to light up the end zone

STL @ WAS -- my pick: WAS

ARI @ JAC -- my pick: JAC
- arizona looked terrible in their game against san francisco. absolutely miserable. and kurt warner looked like his 38 year-old self, grimacing every time he threw the ball. the jags aren't talented but at least their offense doesn't rely on a man old as moses himself.

SEA @ SFO -- my pick: SFO

BAL @ SDG -- my pick: SDG*
-baltimore scraped by against a chiefs team whose franchise QB was out. take into account that the defense baltimore was known for has left with rex ryan. san diego is battered up quite a bit but they'll have the offense weapons necessary to take down the ravens.

CLE @ DEN -- my pick: CLE*
-denver is all over the place. their defense isn't there, nor their offense. cleveland, an awful team themselves, will win a very close game against the broncos.

PIT @ CHI -- my pick: CHI
-i know, i know; jay cutler threw four picks in his debut at lambeau, and that's not a great way to start things off. however, he will get his s**t together on this one (as well as his wide receivers who were the ones not running their routes), and chicago will destroy the steelers. devin hester will play a key role in this game, coming out with a touchdown on a kick return.

TBY @ BUF -- my pick: BUFF

NYG @ DAL -- my pick: DAL
-tony romo has many targets. many, MANY targets. roy williams is there to fill in TO's shoes, and the running game will be there as well to establish the...well, running game. marion barber and felix jones are one helluva a duo and they will outscore the new york giants in a high-scoring game. eli manning is really gonna miss plaxico burress again for the first time this season.

IND @ MIA -- my pick: IND

quote of the week:
Imma let you finish-- but Beyoncé had the best music video of all time! - Kanye West
