Yup, I went and saw the king tut exibit at the Childrens Museum-it was sooooo cool!
the pieces are so finely detaild, and it's not just statures and gold jewlery-there are wood pieces too, like a bed with woven reed mattress, and some ushabtis and that box too...
you could go arund behind the display cases to see the items from the back or side-i kept doing that.
i also kept putting my nose right to the glass to see better
the two things i remember best were the inside of the front of a casketlet fror his stumoch had this engraving of a winged goddess on it...beautiful!
there was also, unfortunatlely, a piece out for cleaning. the one time ever in my life i'll get to see this exibit-and a can't see it all! no fair!
still...it was really cool!
