wake up every morning, beat the sun to the sky
i open up my locker, always makes me wanna cry
i see your pretty face, that moment frozen in time
how i miss your lips, how i miss your touch, just to kiss one last time

but i dont regret singningon that dotted line
i serve my people, i serve my nation, im doing my time
and i know it hurts for you to see me leave in that hour
hurts me too, but baby just know, its the duty of a soldier

baby they called on me, i have to go overseas

now when i boarded on that plane, saw through the window, you were a prayin
