She sat up from her slumber, more awake than she had been in years. It was time to go into the world and make herself known. Her destiny awaited. Her silvery hair sprang loose around her face as she slowly stood, and with her deft fingers she pushed it back over her small pointed ears. She wore nothing, for as her teachings would have her believe, there was nothing more beautiful than a natural uncovered body. Her people would have been proud of what she had become. A full fledged Elath'ean. At least part of her, anyway.
She sensed no danger and proceeded to walk along a path that had long been forgotten. Her ear twitched, much like a cat's, and she turned to see a small rabit nibbling on an overgrown garden. She took note of that. Elris had no habit of keeping his greens unattended, but then it had been almost a century since she had last seen him, and he may have already begun his eternal slumber with her ansestors.
She continued on a bit, and when she found a stream she followed it to the waterfall that led into a quiet pool.
Without hesitation, she carefully set herself into the cool water, cleansing the dark skin that made her stand out from her tribe. It had been ages since she had seen her reflection.
