A shattered soul
And punctured mind
A broken heart
These pains of mine
A lonely pose
And souless stare
A lost of interest
For things once dear

My path is destructive
In all sense of the word
I'm like a sheep from its flock
Or an ox from its herd
I've never looked back
On the world closing in
But I still felt its chill
As I followed the wind

All this pain, as I climbed
To the top of the world
Simply to watch
As my life would unfold
The world would look up
As my tear drops would fall
Then carried on with their lives
As if I weren't there at all

I'm like an unwanted toy
Left to rot on the shelf
We live in a world
Where people care for themself
Things I once would hold close
And held tight in my fist
Has slipped through my fingers
And fallen into a mist

My pains, and my sorrows
Still remain unknown
As the world passed by me
I sat there alone
My tears, unseen
And cries unheard of
I'm simply a trickster
Who's fallen in love

The blood that once warmed me
Has frozen my vein
The mind that once cradled me
Has set me insane
The heart that once cared for me
Now burdens my chest
The body that once sheltered me
Allows me no rest

I lay on the floor
In agony and despair
About to be consumed
By my one and only fear
I've always sat there alone
And bled in the rain
It's not only mine
But both of our pain
I'll carry them forever
If only to set you free
I'll never hurt you or scare you
So put all your burdens on me
