I watched the Syfy Alice today. Boy was it slow the first half hour. By the time things started happening, I'd lost my engagement with it. The idea was a cool one, but the execution was not quite up to it. It reminds me of the recent OZ redo, in that one can see the bones of something genuinely interesting through the rather clumsy finished product. I do like the strong female lead, but they really underused the better actors by tossing them into bit parts.
