History


-I Have No Eyes, But I Can I See-

The host, a man whose name has been forgotten by himself and goes by any name the fields of battle linger by hearsay. The Virulent Blitz, the Front Line Riot, this man Skryns only got the name Skryns when bound to the symbiont and fused with darkness, his own body as the catalyst. Sound wave oscillations, like your typical marvel s**t, wont work. So try as you might, they will not separate. Skryns was the name that echoed in his head when he awoke, his memory could hardly have been considered clouded, more like empty, replaced by something that delved deep into the abysmal depths of his mind, laying dormant until it can overwhelm his will and run rampant, free to its own.

Skryns often wears a blindfold to hide his eyes, not that he is blind, but because the eyes can play tricks on the mind. He's spent the majority of symbiosis blindfolded to keen his senses and the way his mind's eye sees: have you ever dropped a rock into a pond or watched rainfall hit the water top? Little rings spread out, passing through each other, ever extending their imprint along the surface. Skryns mind's eye perceives the world like this, raw and direct into the infinite registry of time and space.


Abilities


Symbiosis
Biskmatar Symbiont - Upon symbiosis the host and the symbiont joined a mutual relationship in which both of them prosper; the symbiont attracted to the host's power, lives off his energy, but also doubles it as well as increasing his strength, speed, and durability aside from unique traits under the symbiont. The symbiont itself appears as an amorphous, elastic goo that is produced from the pores all over his body. It is able to form appendages, armour and weaponry from his person, limited to the surface area of his body and any appendages it produces. It's fast, in direct connection with his mind thus obeys his will. The biskmatar symbiont is considered a biological artifact that makes his abilities wide open or stronger than they were. A property of the symbiont is imprinting, base of which is his powers based on the hosts mind, Skryns was an assassin so the primary abilities are the armour an weapons made from biskmatar--the hardening of which creates a sort of exoskeleton that is durable enough to contend with metals like adamantine, mythril and orichalcum--all to accommodate what this assassin knows best: killing; likewise an assassin's anonymity is equally important, so an assassin's ability to bend light around his person to fade from sight is natural. But to fade from sight is common amongst most assassins, the biskmatar symbiont pushes that further and pulls him from visibility entirely. Scanners no longer pick him up, but he still leaves a unique energy signature. He is difficult to kill and will likely take you out if you don't find the means to do to him. Especially if you started it.


Reigi
5% Ki = 100% Reigi

Extreme Speed (Passive until Reigi is depleted) - Increases his speed to ignore weight differences from biskmatar and tenfold from that point.

Berserk (Passive until Reigi is depleted) - Doubles his brute strength and will, fighting through immense pain and fatigue to further dish out attacks.

Positive Energy - Used to nul negative energy and work in synergy with magics

Negative Energy - Used to nul positive energy and work in synergy with magics


Shadow Magic

-Title-
Skryns energy is shadow-based combined with the energy from his Ki or Reigi, so when he draws from the inner planes, he mixes their essences with his energy to create an array of useful magics, however their power does not come from his proficiency to magic itself, but his proficiency in positive and negative energy manipulation as well as his ability to weave in the thread that duals magic as shadow and some property.


Artifacts
Various gear might contain special properties or have special abilities about them and may work in more ways than their original intended purpose in correspondence with the Biskmatar.

Notes
  • Of such things, the plane of vacuum, commonly known as 'void' by the uneducated, being utter nothingness and infinite space, should not be mistaken for the negative energy plane which absorbs all energy and life into it, or dust, which is annihilation or destruction into inert matter.
  • Positive energy and negative energy can be loosely called 'life' and 'death'. Arcane spells and abilities which heal are linked to the positive energy plane, whereas spells and abilities that drain life are linked to the negative energy plane. Incidentally, living and undead are healed by their respective counterparts. Living are healed by positive energy while damaged by negative energy, and undead are healed by negative energy while healed by positive energy.
  • Though positive energy can damage undead as negative energy damages life, it is not to be mistaken as 'holy' as the uneducated call it, for divine abilities and spells are direct powers given from a deity, and may vary depending on the deity's alignment.
  • Positive energy and negative energy are commonly mistaken for a generic term of 'light' and 'dark' or 'good' and 'evil', which is wrong. Good and evil do not even fit into the category of arcane power as they are ways of thought, and light and darkness would simply translate to to the planes of radiance and shadow, though the shadow plane is not a place lacking light.
  • An elemental is a sentient creature composed of one pure element. An elementalist is someone/thing that exclusively uses and/or controls said element.

  • A fire elementalist has the ability to create flame from the elemental plane of fire and shape it at his will.
  • Undead are linked to the negative energy plane, and many possess the power to drain life.
